She smirked. Stupid humans. They never could understand the true depths of their emotions. They are all just pathetic scum that shouldn't be allowed to live. Breathe the same air as demons.
What would it take for things to be quiet…quiet like the snow?
Kyle never understood. He never knew what it was like for her. She had given him absolutely everything. Her heart, her soul, her mind. She had been ready to spend the rest of her human given life with him. But he tossed her aside like yesterday's garbage. Sure, they had mated. But that didn't matter to him. Nothing did. She loved him, but the feeling was no longer mutual. And he deserved to rot. Just like the rest of them.
I swear come tomorrow, this will all be in our past. Well it might be for the best.
Then along came Will. He may not have understood her like Kyle did, but he loved her. He TRULY loved her, unlike the latter. He was quite forward, even from the beginning, while she was cautious. She'd be damned if she was going to let another human rip out her heart. But. Little by little he grew on her and wriggled his way into her shattered heart. No. No it was no longer shattered. He had gathered up all the miniscule pieces and stitched it back together. Now it was once again whole. Now it belonged to him. And she planned to keep it that way.
If there's no one beside you when your soul embarks, then I'll follow you into the dark.
