Author's Notes: Hey everyone! This is just a short story I came up with. It's basically a sequel to my other fic, Main Character? Meh… Anyways, enjoy!

It had been quite a long day. I, Asagi, and my darling Pleinair had been traveling together in this forest when we were ambushed by a group of monsters. A few Orcs, a couple Wood Golem, and several Cu Siths. All in all, an average Wednesday but one of the accursed things had bitten my right arm!

The bleeding stopped but the wounds were swelling and the pain was becoming intolerable. I ensured Pleinair that the pain was nothing and that she should get some sleep in the makeshift tent that we made. Or she made, I couldn't really comprehend building one and it ended up looking like a pile of rubble.

I was sitting at our campsite, the tent just several feet away from me and the campfire was beside me. Honestly though, the fire didn't really help in keeping me warm. The pain from my wound didn't help much either.

It was such a beautiful night, the stars basically illuminated sky and their radiant glow reminded me of Pleinair. It then came to my attention that Pleinair should see such a beautiful sky.

I slowly paced myself to the tent, opening it and found…nothing. "What? Pleinair, where are you?" I yelled, worrying about what could have happened to my love. Could she had been kidnapped by monsters? So many thoughts were rushing through my mind when I heard rustling from the nearby bushes.

I reached for my pistol with my left arm, even though I was right handed, there was no way I could use my right arm in its condition. I stood firm, expecting the worst. Then I noticed a hair color all too familiar emerging from the bush.

It was Pleinair. Thank God. I sighed and lowered my gun, rushing to her to see if she was unharmed.

"Pleinair, are you okay?" I said, rather concerned. She nodded, with such a warm and lovely smile I might add. It then hit me that she was carrying something. They looked like leaves but weaved in a way like…bandages.

Pleinair helped me back to the rock by our campfire and sat beside me. She carefully wrapped the bandage around my wound. The bandage felt so soothing as if she found something along the lines of antibacterial gel and applied it on the bandage.

She had finished and kissed the newfound bandage on my arm before pressing her lips against mine. She was so sweet, my face became bright red. Pleinair embraced my right arm, holding it firmly.

It was nice, like a feeling of protection. Sitting next to her, my eyes looked at the fire and it was then that I was realized something. The fire wasn't keeping me warm at all. It was her.
