"What's the plan then?" Bass asked picking up his rucksack again.

"Walk to Chicago find my brother and his family." Miles replied. Once Miles set his mind to something he was going to try his hardest to make it happen.

"And when we have your family?"

"Then we find somewhere safe to live." Miles answered. Bass nodded and started walking again.

*4 hours later*

"Miles, It's getting pretty late." Bass stated.

"We need to get to Chicago Bass."

"It looks like it's going to rain, there's a caravan up there we can get some rest."

"Scared of a little ra-"Before Miles could finish his sentence he saw a flash of lightning and it started to rain. He turned to Bass.

"Caravan?"

"Caravan." Bass repeated. They entered the caravan cautiously in case it was occupied but no one was in there. Bass searched around for clean clothes while Miles looked for food.

"I think someone must have been here before us, it's completely cleared out of food."

"Well I found some clean clothes." Bass said walking into the kitchen area. "What's your dress size?" Bass said holding up a bright pink dress and a dark blue one. Miles and Bass laughed so hard they nearly forgot about the rain. Another bolt of lightning and clap of thunder came.

"I really hate thunder Miles, it creeps me out."

"I know when we were kids you always used to make me come round your house during a thunderstorm because you got scared." Bass laughed. He had fond memories of his childhood and most of them included Miles. Miles pulled down a bed.

"Looks like there is only one bed. Hope you don't mind bunking up Bass."

"Are you kidding there's a damn thunderstorm outside, even if there were two beds I'd still make you share with me and cuddle me till I sleep." Miles grinned. He removed his shirt and launched himself onto the bed.

"You were right Bass, we should rest." Miles said leaning back on the bed. Bass did the same as Miles and sat next to Miles on the bed.

"I don't know if I'll be able to sleep during this thunderstorm." Bass stated.

"You can cuddle up to me if you like." Miles said grinning.

"Is that a serious offer?" Bass laughed.

"Yes" Bass looked at Miles and leant his head into Miles chest. Bass grinned and closed his eyes listening to the sound of Miles breaths. Miles looked down at Bass and smiled putting his arm round him and pulling him closer.

"I don't hate thunderstorms as much when you're here." Bass mumbled sleepily. Miles pulled a blanket over them so they didn't get cold. Miles pulled Bass as close as possible and they both slept through the night, and during that night they forgot of their struggles, the blackout everything and just dreamt of being together. Happy.
