First chapter is short, I know. The next one will be longer. My stories will be updated when I have the time to write and get them up. I do have a life outside the internet so I can't guarantee updating on a regular basis. Please be patient. And if I don't get at least 5 reviews, on each chapter, it will be longer until I will update. So please review. And if you have any questions that you want answered, please, PM me and I'll respond as soon as I can.
Tsuki Monogatari
The moon glowed brightly through the dense forest, though barely penetrating the cold, silent darkness. The only sound in the silence was the crying of a young girl. She was laying on the ground in a tattered, old kimono and had scratches and bruises all over her body. She was shrouded by the darkness, hoping he wouldn't find her. If he did, it wouldn't be safe for anyone within a five mile radius. Her life was a nightmare, and she had to get out. She couldn't stand being around him, being his slave. He thought she had a hidden power that had yet to awaken and tried everything to make itself materialize for fifteen long agonizing years.
Once she had calmed her tears she got up and began wandering through the forest again. She didn't have time to stop for the night, no matter how dangerous it was. It was probably way more dangerous staying in one place than wandering around and running into a random demon, actually, running into some demon she had never seen before sounded better than him. Her feet were getting really sore now and were probably torn and bleeding. She wasn't used to traveling on foot outside of the house and garden, and even then the miasma was so thick outside the house that she rarely even went to the garden.
She fell to her knees, unable to move on any farther. She crawled on her hands and knees to a nearby oak tree and sat against it. She stared upward, trying to see through the treetops to the night sky, it had always calmed her when she gazed at the moon and stars. But even their light couldn't penetrate the leaves of the forest. Slowly, she began falling into unconsciousness. A twig snapped fairly close and she didn't even twitch. She could hear a man yelling at someone to keep up with the rest of them. At least her tormentor hadn't found her yet.
The sound of wheels against dirt, chains clinking together, and shuffling feet became easier to hear as they drew closer and then the sounds halted for a brief moment and she lost her consciousness.
The man in front of the slave wagons motioned for the others to stop the procession. He stared and began grinning as he saw a beautiful young girl asleep against a large tree. They were lucky they had the torches they did, or he would have missed this rare beauty. Such long hair, the color of lilacs, pale as the moon, and looking sexy in the tattered kimono she had on. He motioned for two of his underlings to come forward and take the girl and put her in shackles. She'd fetch a nice price in the trade. As soon as the unconscious girl was secured in one of the wagons, they proceeded forth to the nearby village for the auction the next day.
