CS: This is a story based on one of my characters from Genesis, Walker, and the former fire Guardian, Halinor.
Gaomon: CH, this is another present to you from us. We hope you enjoy it.
CS: The name Rosielle is used here, because CH loves the name. So we thought we should use that.
Gaomon: Merry Christmas, everyone!
Halinor screamed as another contraction hit her.
The doctor yelled at her to push harder.
Her husband Walker was just staring with empty eyes. His wife was nine months pregnant, about to give birth.
All he could do was stare at her swollen stomach.
"Walker! What the hell are you doing, just standing there staring?!" Halinor yelled at him before yet another contraction hit her.
Walker continued to stare.
Slowly, however, in the midst of the chaos, he reached down and took her hand.
Halinor squeezed as she pushed again, screaming harder in agony.
Walker winced at the pain in his hand but refused to let go.
Halinor screamed again and gave one final push.
Her grip loosed as a wail of a new born baby filled the room.
Halinor sighed and breathed, "Finally." She turned her head slightly and smirked. "So, Dreamy-eyes decided to finally step up to the plate?"
"Very funny," Walker snorted. He leaned over and touched her nose with his. "How's it feel to be a mom?"
"Exhausting. Yan Lin never said it would be this painful."
"It'll all be worth it once we see our baby."
"Yeah," she said, kissing him on the cheek. "It will."
"Congratulations, you two," a doctor said with a smile. "You're now the proud parents of a beautiful, healthy baby girl."
"Fun," Walker joked as a bundle was brought in.
The nurse holding it held it out for Walker to take, but he said, "I think Mom here should have the honors."
The nurse nodded and handed the bundle to Halinor.
"Oh," Halinor cooed. "She's beautiful."
"Yeah, we've got a pretty one here," Walker agreed. "She looks like her mom."
"What should we call her?"
Walker thought for a moment, then answered, "Rosielle."
Halinor nodded and smiled at the baby. "Alright then, her name is Rosielle."
