I always knew this day would come, but never in a million years would I have guessed it would be you.
I watch in fasination as you reach your hand toward me and gently brush my cheek with your knuckles. The gentle touch causes me to sigh and close my eyes.
You would think that the person standing before me was the one man I obsessed about my whole life. The one man who I vowed would be mine and mine alone. But fate had chosen a different path for us.
Though it was extremely hard to deal with at first, I must now admit that they belong together. Just seeing the love that Sasuke and Naruto show for one another brings a smile to my lips and joy to my heart.
I am brought out of my musings by your hands cradling my face. Another sigh escapes as you brush your thumb across my lips.
I desperately want to feel your lips on mine...an insatiable need to know your taste.
I reach up with trembling fingers and trace your mouth through the mask. I feel your body tremble oh so slightly and I hear you huskily whisper...
"Sakura..."
Hearing you say my name sends a shiver of excitement coursing through my body.
I reach up and gently pull your mask down, slowly revealing your nose, your lips and then finally your chin. I gasp in amazement. God you are beautiful! Placing a hand on your chest for balance, I rise on tip-toe and gently pull your head down to mine.
My heart is pounding a mile a minute and just before our lips meet, I softly whisper your name...
"Kakashi-sensei..."
