Disclaimer: I don't own Fatal Frame III The Tormented nor the characters.
A/N: This is my first fanfic, I truly love the game and I took the time to research my favorite character Kyouka Kuze also known as the "Brushing Woman." Please enjoy reading the prologue, let me know if you wish for me to continue this story in reviews. Thank you!
Kyouka Kuze felt her vision fading away. Her teary face glared at the mirror, giving off her reflection as she smashed her hairbrush into it, shattering the glass. The glass cracked as the pieces fell upon her face. Crimson tears formed in her eyes, the blood spilling down her cheeks as so on her lips. She felt her legs buckle then fell to the floor. Kyouka dug her nails into her silk raven hair that hung about her shoulders, spilling down along her back. She felt more lonely with outrage, tearing long strands of her hair apart as she pinned them up around the mirror. "You said you would come back…Akito…." Kyouka muttered with a sob out of loneliness. Thus, the Manor of Sleep fell into the cursed voice of the tattoo. Though her body was dead, her thoughts still gave in. Her mind racing…loneliness surging through her broken heart…the cuts on her face…the still fresh warm blood…
"How could he leave me like this? Why?"
Her mind kept racing.
"One day…I will wait, Akito."
Her thought seemed to echo. Kyouka's spirit was restless the moment it left her body.
"Someday…he'll come back!"
"I'll wait…forever."
Kyouka's voice echoed more throughout the kimono room where she once combed her hair and waited for him. That way when he comes back with his camera, he'll take her picture again.
"I could feel my body just melting away. My arms and legs weak. My body heavy. My lungs inflating slowly with sobs. I was crying. Crying out of loneliness. I guess he'll probably never know how I feel… I won't forget who did this to me. I won't forget his words of love for my beautiful hair, running his hands through the strands. I absolutely will try to forget his departure, giving me a pair of earnings… but I truly will not forget his promise of his return to me. I swear. I will wait still combing my hair for the day when he would come back and take my picture again."
A/N: Another thing, I'm thinking of doing a story of the ghost called the Engraver, also called the Needle Woman. I think she's awsome and I want to do it, I think it may be a one shot with Rei. What do you think?
