"Guys, time to get up!" Dave yelled up the steps. Simon woke up with a start. He groaned and got out of his blue bed, stretching. He looked at Jeanette's sleeping form. He knew he shouldn't stare and that she could wake up any second, but she drove him crazy.
The beautiful dark brown fur, her perfect hair, her enchanting eyes. He loved her more than anything but he just couldn't work up the courage to tell her.
He suddenly figured out that he was talking out loud! He looked to make sure nobody heard him and sighed and turned around. "Guys!" yelled Simon "Time to get up!" they remained where they were. "Hmmmmm" Simon thought, "There's toaster waffles for breakfast!" Suddenly everyone woke up.
Alvin and Brittany rushed pass Simon, already competing against each other in a race. Theodore and Eleanor hopped up and sleepily walked down the stairs. Jeanette sat up in bed and yawned. "Oh" "G-Good m-morning Simon" said Jeanette "If….If you don't m-mind I should probably tidy up." "Of course" Simon replied. He gently shut the door and went to get breakfast.
As soon as Simon left the room she collapsed on her bed feeling slightly nervous but also very excited. When she had woken up in the morning she had not wanted to wake the others so she tried to go back to sleep, but just when she was about to, she had heard Dave tell them to get up. She was laying there with her eyes squinted because she had not yet put on her glasses.
She had heard Simon shuffle in his bed and get up. She pretended to be asleep, not wanting to disturb him. He was heading towards the door, but then he turned around and had looked straight at her. And she had heard him say how he loved her but couldn't tell her. She now knew that Simon had feelings for her. She had always had a crush on him, but like Simon, couldn't admit it.
She got up and got dressed in one of her favorite purple dresses and ran downstairs.
"Whoa, someone really likes toaster waffles." Alvin said as she bolted down the stairs.
She ran past Theodore and Eleanor, who were stuffing their cheeks with toaster waffles.
She ran past Brittany, who was admiring herself in the mirror.
She ran past Dave, who was putting another set of toaster waffles in the toaster.
Simon was in the walk in pantry trying to find the syrup for Dave when Jeanette ran in. He turned around and saw her close the door behind her. "J-Jeanette wha-what are you d-doing?" Simon asked. She answered by running up and hugging him.
He was very surprised but very happy. "Jeanette what is th-this all about?" "Well I m-might have heard what you…you said this morning." She said with a devious grin on her face. "You feel the same w-way?" he asked. "I do" she replied. They both leaned forward slowly and kissed to their heart's content.
They were too busy to notice the pantry slightly opening. When they stopped they saw Alvin with his brand new camera. "Ha Ha this is going in the scrapbook!" he yelled as he ran away.
After they shared one more loving kiss, they ran off together to find Alvin.
