Still, he walked into the bar anyways.
She was surprised to see him there, he could tell, and that made him smirk. You know, the little one, the daring one only he could pull off.
She couldn't help but smile too. She had forgiven the Turks; they'd helped with Yazoo and Kadaj. And believe it or not, Rufus was going clean from now on, and so was ShinRa.
Which made things a hell of a lot simpler.
Now, how was he going to call her over-
"Hey, Reno. What would you like?"
-Ah. He didn't have to.
"Just a beer, thanks."
"What kind?"
"Whatever you got that's good."
"Okay, I'll be back in a second."
A second was too soon. He should've prepared for this earlier.
Maybe he should just get drunk, things would be a hell of a lot easier.
No, out of the question. She couldn't see him like that.
She was back.
"Enjoy." She smiled at him.
It would've been nicer if he hadn't seen her smile like that to every customer in the bar.
"Thanks, Tifa." He made himself avoid saying 'Teef'. "So, how are things goin'?"
To his surprise, she sat down. "Good enough. Denzel and Marlene are away at Barrett's, and the bar is more popular than ever. I've got a little act set up for Friday."
"Oh? With who?"
"Vincent. He sings! Can you imagine that?"
"I bet he's got one of those deep, smooth voices, huh?" It was difficult to find things to say.
"Yeah! And Yuffie's coming to a visit in about a month. Shera and Cid are going to try and make it to space again, and-"

"Tifa?"
"Yeah?"
"How come whenever people ask how you are doing, you talk about how everyone but you is doing?" Reno asked, genuinely wanted to know.
"Because…Well…"
"You are doing okay, aren't you?"
"…Yeah, I am."
"It's Spike, ain't it?" His question surprised even him.
She got up. "I've got to go serve the other customers."
Reno just looked at her.

When she walked away, he noticed he still hadn't touched his beer.

Alright, this will be continued.
Eventually. Heheh.
