A/N: I wrote this last night. I have had the idea to write this story for awhile but I didn't know how. Then, it suddenly came to me. Hope you enjoy, tell me what you think!

George was sitting on the steps leading down into the Great Hall, where all the people they lost were. The one he cared about the most was also in there. Fred, his twin, his other half, dead. He couldn't believe it. He would never get to see him older. Never get to see him get married and see his kids. Never get to pull pranks together or make ear jokes anymore. He would be by himself. Sure he had all the others, but Fred was the one who knew him better than anyone. Even their own mother didn't know George as well as he did, had. All these thoughts running through his head and the grief that was swallowing him whole, he didn't notice the tears that were running down his face were being wiped away by a small, gentle hand.

He shook his head to get rid of the thoughts for now. He would think and grieve when he was alone. He had to be there for his family. For the ones who made it. He finally realized someone was beside him and he turned to the left. He saw a pretty girl with bright blue eyes, and the lightest shade of blonde hair. It had dirt in it but that made her look even more beautiful. He looked her in the eyes and realized who it was.

Luna Lovegood.

"Hello George. I was on my way to the Hall and noticed you up here. I'm not going to ask if you are alright. Most people don't really want it asked because they are obviously not alright. All they really need is someone to be with them even if they say they want to be alone. Being alone is worst. I know you are going to miss him, everyone will, but not as much as you. Go ahead George, let it out. It's not good to keep it looked up inside." She said and he couldn't stop the tears that were rolling down his cheeks.

He brought his knees up to his chest and wrapped his arms around them. He laid his head down on his knees and shook with suppressed sobs. He felt soothing circles being rubbed on his back. He heard a choked sob and realized it was him. He heard people stopping from their path to the Great Hall and felt their stares. He heard their whispers but he didn't care. He tried to focus on her hand to calm him down, but it wasn't working. He just couldn't calm down.

"I'm going to go George. Remember, it's best to let it out, even if it hurts. If you need me I will be in the Great Hall. I need to find my dad and make sure he is alright." She whispered.

He felt her hand disappear and heard light footsteps go down the stairs he heard her run farther and farther and the only things he thought was Fred and how he missed her touch.
