Kiyotaka Ishimaru and Mondo Oowada sat across from each other, staring directly into each other's eyes. Every so often, one of them would make a move for the other, then jerk back, like they hadn't meant to actually move. Both of them were bright red. Mondo had taken off his Crazy Diamonds jacket. Ishimaru hadn't taken off his jacket, though he did look close to unbuttoning the first button.

"What are they doing?" Makoto Naegi muttered to Aoi Asahina as he passed. Asahina sighed.

"I don't know. They're weird."

The two of them inched closer to each other, Ishimaru on his knees with his back straight and Mondo propping one elbow up on a knee and slouching forward.

Eventually, Ishimaru made his move.

He lurched forward, caught himself on Mondo's face, and kissed him.

After a few seconds, he pulled away. He was grinning. "Now that the first one is out of the way, it should be less awkward, right, brother?"

Mondo, who was slowly gaining sweat stains under his arms, took a quick glance around, noted that the only ones in the room were Naegi, Asahina, and Sakura Oogami, and nodded. Ishimaru's grin widened, and he jumped to his feet. He held out his hand.

"Come, let us celebrate this momentous occasion!"

"How?" Mondo asked, taking Ishimaru's hand and letting him pull him up. "I mean, it's not like we've got much to do in here."

Ishimaru frowned, eyebrows drawing together in a thick line. "We could… we could go swimming!"

"Please don't mess with the pool," Asahina interjected. Ishimaru's frown deepened.

"We could… spend some time in the sauna! Or… or… I am not sure what we could do. As you said, our options are limited."

The two of them hadn't stopped holding hands since Ishimaru had helped Mondo up, and they just seemed to realize that as Ishimaru tried to think of something they could do to celebrate their weird friendship turning into some weird relationship. The two of them looked at the hands, then at each other, then back at the hands. Mondo decided to remedy the problem by squeezing Ishimaru's hand as tight as he could. Ishimaru's hand tried to escape.

"Perhaps we could cook a celebratory dinner. I can make rice balls," Ishimaru said, finally disentangling his hand from Mondo's. Mondo frowned.

"Well, I can't fuckin' make anything. Piss poor celebratory dinner."

"I think the sauna is the best place. I have some very pleasant memories of the sauna."

"Yeah, you're probably right," Mondo said.

Asahina leaned over to Naegi. "You were overseeing that, right? What kind of memories were they?"

"I don't know, they still hated each other when I went to bed."

Mondo threw an arm around Ishimaru's shoulders and pulled him away. The two of them kept up their discussion as they walked, Ishimaru agreeing with Mondo's words loudly and nearly hitting Mondo in the face as he talked with his hands. Naegi, Asahina, and Sakura watched them go, stunned.

"Well," Naegi said. "I think that I'm going to go now."

"Yeah…" Asahina said, nodding slowly. "I think… I think about two hundred laps in the pool will do it."

"Perhaps I can go train a bit in the weight room," Sakura said. With that, the three of them dispersed for the second floor, not quite sure what they had just seen and not quite sure if they wanted to know.

Okay, this was requested by a user on Tumblr, who wanted Ishimondo, also kissing. So I decided to make it as awkward as humanly possible. Featuring Naegi, Asahina, and Sakura. I'm not quite sure how I feel about this. But I kind of like it.
