Chapter 1
I've never really liked traveling much, especially not when I'm using public transport. I sat at the end of the bus, I was going to the airport. My Mum kicked me out and there's no way I'm living with my dad. I was going to Canada, high up in the north of Canada, I didn't know anyone there, but that was a good thing, I never really was any good at making friends-oh, but how rude of me! I never told you my name! It's Riley, Riley Wolfgang.
It was a long flight from the UK all the way to Canada, I was moving to a small town called Flower, it's a funny name I know, but it sounded like a perfect place to start my new life, it was time to turn over a new leaf. When I got off the plane and left the airport I realized I forgot to phone a taxi, so much for that idea! I had to walk all the way to the nearest train station, luckily for my poor legs it wasn't to far.
During the journey on the train a cat came up to me and asked if the seat next to me was taken, I don't know why he wanted that seat so badly, but I told the truth, I wasn't saving it for anyone. The cat sat down next to me, he was creeping me out, there were loads of free seats, why did he want sit next to me?! He asked me about where I was going, I think he must be some sort of stalker.
It was late when I arrived in Flower, I took out my map to find the house I bought, I still have a big morgage to pay off. My new home is on the edge of town out the way, I like it that way, but I feel lonely without my family. When I got there I opened the door and had a look inside, the house was empty, the only furniture was a candle an old bed and a cardboard box. The candle was on the box, but it didn't look too safe so I never left it there while it was lit. I decided I'd unpack tomorrow, after all I'd had a busy and stressful day, little did I know the next day was going to be worse...
