p style="outline: none 0px; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); margin: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;"I promised Henry I would try. So, we are eating dinners together, sitting together at his soccer games, and having game night. Tonight Regina suggested we watch a movie, and she let me pick it out. She never even heard of Gremlins. So, this should be exciting. We turn out the lights and get situated on the couch, Henry, Regina, and me. Before too long Regina gets upset about watching a Christmas movie during the summer. I tell her to just enjoy the movie. Henry quickly gets tired and falls asleep on Regina's lap. When the Gremlin blows up in the microwave Regina jumps, clasps my hands, and hides her face in the nape of my neck. Throughout the movie she sits there not will to let go. She uses my body as a shield every time something scares her. Henry stirs and glances up at them, "Mom, Emma, why are you guys holding hands?" Quickly, we stand up and release each other's hands. Shifting restlessly I stammer, "The movie was super scary for your mom." Regina glares at me for throwing her under the bus. I decide to make my exit. "Gotta go," I tell them, "I'll see you tomorrow."/p
