His eyes are open
There he is again. Blaine spots the tall, lean boy sitting neatly in one of the subway car's seats, his legs crossed and posture perfect. His eyes are focused intently on the script on his lap that he's reading, his brow furrowed and his lips drawn in a tight line in concentration.
Blaine quickly gets into the subway car weaving through people and placing himself in the open seat next to the boy. Blaine observes his outfit of choice today. He's always wearing the most amazing intricate outfits Blaine has ever seen.
Stop staring at him, you creep! A voice calls in the back of his head but Blaine ignores it. Kurt lifts his head from the script and looks over at Blaine smiling shyly as a soft chrism dusts his cheeks.
Blaine's heart stutters, his breath catching in his throat as he stares into deep blue eyes that shimmer with golden flecks. All he can do is stare at the angelic boy before him, with smooth pale skin and beautifully styled chestnut hair.
He quickly catches himself and gives an over excited smile in return making the boy chuckle quietly. Blaine can't help the disappointment as the glasz-eyed boy turns back to his script face hard and serious again.
He tries to distract himself, looking over the crowd of people and watching silently, but his gaze keeps flickering back to boy who is still concentrated on his script. The boy looks up again quirking an eyebrow in question and Blaine flushes embarrassment prickling his skin.
He tries to look away but the boy is still staring at him expectantly. There are a lot of options running through his brain so he opts for the first one that came to mind.
"Hi, I'm Blaine." He says as cheerfully as he can manage with a blush still covering his face as he sticks his head into the small space between them.
The boys eyes flicker boy to his hand suspiciously before he smiles again, warm and bright.
"Kurt." He says shaking Blaine's hand. His hands are a soft as the look and Blaine can't help but stare at the contact. Kurt. His name is Kurt. That's… perfect. The moment is brought to a halt as the subway comes to a jerking stop and the car doors open abruptly.
"Well this is my stop, see you around Blaine." Kurt says as he stands and melts away into the crowd and rushing people. Blaine stares after him wide eyed and dumb-struck. I know his name and he knows me. Blaine sits back in his seat and grins thinking about Kurt's shy smile.
