Time Period: Early 1600's, a little bit after England became America's guardian.
The meeting ended short and most of the nations filed out of the conference room, including America. The boy had been reading a book for part of the meeting, but he wouldn't tell anyone what it was. England looked over to America's seat. He raised a large eyebrow. Of course America would leave all his stuff in the room. And what is that book, is that the one he was reading? He looked away for a moment to make sure no one else was in the room. Glancing over to the book on the top of America's pile of papers and binders. Guess How Much I Love You was on its front cover along with two rabbits; a mother and child. England blinked. Just like what we used to say when he was a child. . .
"Engwand!" and young America called out, running to the older man. He turned to look at the child.
"Yes, America, what is it?"he glanced around casually, mind preoccupied with other matters. But, he looked down when the child tugged on the leg of his breaches.
"Engwand! Guess how much I love you! Go on! Guess!" his sky blue eyes twinkled.
England's face broke into a smile. He knelt down to America's level.
"Well, it would seem that I do not know how much you love me. Why don't you just tell me?"
"This much!" little America spread his arms out as far as they could. England chuckled.
"Yes, that may be so, but I love you this much." England spread his much larger arms out. Hmm, that IS a lot. America thought. Than, America laughed and threw his arms around England's middle and hugged him tight.
"Enwand, I love you so much! We're gonna be together forever!" England nuzzled his cheek into America's wheat-coloured hair.
" Yes lad, I think we just might be."
Touching the cover of the book lightly with his finger tips as he walked past it, a faint whisper of,
"I still love you the most America."could be heard from England as he left the conference room. He didn't notice a blond head of hair duck around the corner, a smile on the blue-eyed man's face as he said,
"I still I love you the most."
Fin.
