Perfect
This is a little RJ one-shot dedicate to the wonderful RJ Tribe! This is really short but I had major writers block, sorry!
The last five months since they had moved to their two up two down had been a dream for them, long walks on the beach, picnics in the countries, lunches in small restaurants, it had been completely perfect. Their life was perfect together now, just the two of them and their baby on the way.
"Morning babe" Jay walked into the bedroom with a cup of camomile tea and a slice of toast, Ruth stretched out her arms and pulled herself up to take her breakfast
"Good morning!" She pulled him in to kiss her before taking a sip of her tea "You know you don't have to bring me breakfast every morning!"
"I know but I love seeing that smile of yours first thing in the morning" He went to kiss her again before sitting down on the bed beside her "So how is splodge today?" He cooed at her fast growing stomach.
"Splodge is good, she didn't keep me awake too much last night. Are you working today?"
"No, I'm off today. I was thinking we could head down to the beach since the weather has been so good the last few days"
"Sounds perfect, you go and grab the deck chairs out of the shed whilst I have a shower" Jay leaned in and kissed her again
"Are you sure you don't need me to wash your back?" He winked at her before pulling her on top of him.
They finally made their way to the beach around 1pm after a morning of keeping themselves entertained.
"Where shall we set up?" Jay was like an excited child, desperate to get set up so he could go for a swim
"How about over by the rocks? It looks pretty quiet over there"
As they laid they stuff out, Ruth was not surprised to see that Jay had brought a bucket and spade with him, he was a big kid at heart!
"Hey don't look at me like that, I know by the end of the day that you will be building sand castles too!"
"I love you, you know that?" She caught him off guard and he just broke into a massive smile
"Yes I know that, I love you more than anything in this world, you and our perfect little girl" His hands wrapped around her waist as he pulled her into a strong embrace.
"Just think, next summer we will be able to bring her here to play, hopefully her daddy won't steal her toys!"
"Oi, cheeky! She will have more than enough toys to let me have a shot of a bucket and spade."
"She will have everything she could every wish for, I want her to have the perfect life" Ruth rubbed her stomach affectionately.
"Me too babe, why don't you get some rest for a while whilst I start working on this amazing sand castle of mines fit for Princess Ruth!"
Just over an hour later, Jay was finished with his creation and he couldn't wait to show Ruth, he was sure she would love it!
"Babe, come and check out this awesome castle?" Ruth just looked at him and smiled
"Jay are you really going to make me stand up when I'm just getting comfy?" She smirked at him before puller herself up of the chair
"Just come and look at the tower"
"You really take the whole castle thing seriously don't you?" She was laughing at his fake hurt expression
"Just look closely"
Ruth knelt down in from of the castle as Jay looked at her expectantly, just waiting for her to spot the ring which he had place on the top of the tower.
"Oh Jay, I don't know what to say"
"Say yes, Ruth Faldren will you marry me?" Jay was sitting in front of her waiting on her answer
"Yes, yes, yes, a million times yes!"
They spent the rest of the day at the beach, just enjoying spending time together, making up for all the time which they had missed out on together, for once everything was perfect.
