Prologue
A soft breeze fluttered into the room, making the white, linen curtains float gently up and down. The stars in the night sky twinkled merrily, like diamonds and the silver moon cast a lovely, dim light. Amanda Pelton leaned against her windowsill, her elbows propped up, and her hands supporting her chin. She closed her dazzling brown eyes and took a deep breath, the smell of wet dew and honeysuckle filling her nostrils. She opened her eyes and smiled to herself, the wind blowing gently in her face and playing through her long, wavy brown hair. Slowly, she wrapped her fingers around her necklace, which lit up faintly, and Mandy felt its warmth coursing through her body. The necklace had a round crystal ball and the contents inside of it looked like a swirling.something. It was hung on a silver chain that shimmered delightfully like a fish's scales in the water when the sun shines on it. With one hand still grasping the pendant, Mandy lifted her other arm and pulled down the window, locking it securely. She backed away and climbed into her bed, letting go of the ball. She shivered slightly, the cold catching up to her. Mandy touched the crystal one last time, before snuggling deep into the covers and drifting off to sleep.

This was really a prologue.but you know.yeah. Okay. Wtvr.
