A/N: This is my first ever story. I tried hard to keep everyone in character. I hope you read and enjoy.

Chapter 1
The night was exceptionally dark, almost as black as devil's soul, spreading over the dark and dense forest. It was pretty much uninhabited except for the research facility that stood in the deepest most wilderness of the forest. The geographical location was meant to serve as security or maybe to serve as a barrier to hide away all the secret experiments that were being conducted there. All the records of such experiments fruitless as well as the fruitful were kept in the heavily guarded record room, probably the most important room of the facility. It was always being visited by the researchers and almost never empty. But on this particular night, it wasn't the case.
It was just this opportunity that someone had been waiting for and masked in the darkness a mysterious figure appeared at the window of the room, situated some eleven floors above the ground. The intruder climbed inside the room and lit a low powered torch since he didn't want to be get caught by security. Anything was hardly visible in such a dim light but he knew very well, the consequences if he were to get caught. He moved towards the nearest file cabinet, totally unaware about what lies where, all he knew that he was at the right place at the right time. He held the small torch between his teeth and stretched his hand to open the cabinet but even before he could touch it the security alarm went off and the sound of footsteps could be heard out in the corridor.
Without wasting any moment the guy ran to the window and by the time he was there the room's door burst open and someone yelled, "Hold it…", the rest of it he couldn't hear because he had already jumped out of the window, making his way down safely with the help of a grappling hook. He landed safely on top of his bike; he looked up to smile at the guards, who were leaning on the window to check if he survived the fall. And then without wasting any more time he decided to get out of there before more security guards find him.
The alarm was still blaring but even over the loud sound of alarm, he could easily make out the sound of distant gunshots. Whosoever was there was in big trouble but he could not; must not go there, the only safe way out was in the opposite direction. So with a little hesitation he sped up his bike in the opposite direction. This man was Leon Scott Kennedy, one of the top government agents. In spite of being a top government agent infiltrating the facility alone was no piece of cake but he had not expected to be detected even before he had something important in his hands. Well it turned out his small visit to facility was completely fruitless.
At some other part of the facility continuously firing bullets at security and the zombies was a woman in her mid 20s. There were more zombies around her as compared to the guards but yet she made sure that nobody had a chunk of her flesh. One of reasons that she was not surrounded by guards was because she was surrounded by the zombies, which seemed to be like a part of security like the security dogs, either ways she found it to her benefit since zombies weren't as fast as normal humans.
The zombies were closing on her, there was no escape but even so that didn't deter the smile on her face, it seemed she had some sort of plan. But her smile didn't last long as her handguns just clicked empty and declared that they were out of bullets and she was out of spare clips as well. She put her guns back and glanced around the surrounding zombies then with amazing dexterity threw four knives on them where they were few which made a door in the enclosing cage of zombies. Without further ado she dashed through that opening and running further away from zombies and guards, who became active once she jumped out of zombie cage.
She ran as if she knew where she had to go unlike Leon but it was becoming more and more difficult as both cannibalistic zombies and guards were after her. She thought of throwing a grenade at them once she reached a safe distance, but running on foot made it quite difficult for her to reach that so-called safe distance. The only way to save herself from them was that she should keep running. But her breath became to fall; within moments she was panting and her legs were giving up but she kept running away from the guards and zombies, who were still on her tail. Then almost out of nowhere she saw light tearing the blanket of darkness, that too right in front of her which became brighter and brighter as she ran towards it. Perhaps this light was the only hope for her survival.
Leon had a change of mind just after a few minutes and he decided to help out whoever was in trouble. And besides that he was curious about the other intruder, after all they might turn out to be an ally. He almost lost hope when he couldn't hear the gunshots anymore but much more surprised to see the person running towards him trying to escape both guards and zombies.
When they were close enough their eyes met and they both knew what needs to be done. Leon slowed down his bike just enough so the other person could jump on its back seat and then within seconds he took a sharp right turn dodging the on foot zombies and gun firing guards. Leon heard the sounds of two grenades going off one after another and he sped up his bike to evade the blast. And although that got rid of some of the pursuers, both of them knew it wasn't the end as more men with guns were soon chasing them, on cars and bikes.
"I am out of ammo, have you got some", Leon heard a very feminine tone yell over the sounds of gunshots.
"You're a woman?!", he asked getting a little distracted turning in his seat to look at her for confirmation.
"Of course I am a woman", she said sounding a little offended, "Now if you don't mind, I need some bullets."
Leon at once gave her the ammo she wanted and as expected she soon killed many guys following them while Leon drove at top speed of his bike and they managed to pull on a surfaced road that connected this facility to civilization. But before she could kill the last of few men following them on wheels, they heard the sound of rotating blades above them. Leon cursed as a combat chopper attacked them, flying really low to get a good shot at them. The woman tried to get rid of the following men first but it was fruitless with that chopper around.
"I want to have a good shot", the girl shouted between the gunshots and the sounds of rotating blades to Leon, who at once understood what she was going to do, "But don't you dare slow down. Keep up the speed and try not to swerve too much!"
"Okay", Leon said, nodding his head in acknowledgement.
The woman stood up on the bike and started shooting at the pilot, who seemed to be in serious trouble right now. And it became quite difficult for the guys in the chopper to aim at their targets as pilot swayed the chopper every now and then to dodge the bullets. But it gave an opportunity to the men on ground to take a good shot at her and so they did. Fortunately she was wearing a bullet proof vest and unfortunately the impact of being hit by bullet made her lose her balance and she almost fell off the bike but Leon's instant reflexes saved her as he grabbed her by waist pulling her back on the bike.
"That was close", he sighed in relief but the woman seemed pretty much indifferent about it and got back to standing up on the bike to take care of the pursuers, "Hey Percy I want you to take control so that I can join the fun", Leon spoke in his headset, clearly the woman was having a little bit trouble handling both the men in air and ground together.
"I am on it man. Wait a sec. There you go I am in", Percy, their communication and technical expert informed him over the line.
Leon withdrew his weapons and joined in the fight. He took care of the men on the ground while the girl was giving the men in the air a run for their lives. Soon enough Leon took care of most of the men on the ground and was standing up as well, helping the woman to take care of the chopper, well more of trying to make them miss hitting the woman and himself. And such a misfire hit the receiver of the bike and Percy couldn't control it anymore.
"Leon, I am not control the bike anymore!", Percy almost yelled frantically pushing the buttons on his controller, as if he was playing a video game.
