Draconis Kairi Anubis, was a seventeen year old, white caucasian, female, she was five foot ten in height, and had a very slender angelic looking form. She had natural bright amber color eyes, and she had natural bright burgundy color hair, that was in the same hair style as Cheshire's from pandora hearts, only spikeir, and slightly longer. Her nickname was Draco, however Joey had a habbit of sometimes calling her Dra, which was another nickname she had, but she honestly didn't really care for it. She only allowed Joey to call her that, mostly because she didn't have the heart to tell him to stop calling her Dra, since it only happens a few times.
She was wearing a black jacket, that strongly resembled Seto kaiba's jacket from battle City, only her's was black with blue flames on it, over a black turtleneck shirt, black jeans and black boots. On her left arm was a dueldisk, that appeared too look just like the vampire dueldisk, only it was black, with an electrical blue flame like desighns on it. On her right arm was a gold egyptain style bracelete, it looked just like the Bracelet of Anubis from the movie called The Return of the Mummy. Her bracelet however appeared to be more like a millennium item in appearence. No one knew for sure if it was a millennium item or not, since it had never shown any sighns of being one. She also had gold dragon ear wrap earrings on.
She was an American who had move to Domino City Japan roughly about two years, before Duelist Kingdom had started. Durring her time in Domino City, she had became best friends with Yugi, Joey, Tristan, Tea, and Ryou. Before eventualy befriending Duke Devilin, Serenity Wheeler, Mai Valentine and a few others. She also happened to be Seto Kaiba's and Mokuba Kaiba's biological cousin.
Her father was related to their biological mother. However she was the only cousin that Mokuba and Seto still deeply cared about, let alone even liked besides Draco's father. It was a complicated mess, one her father was still furious about since he was never once informed, that Mokuba and Kaiba had been orphaned. Since other family members had taken custody of them, only for their inheritance before ditching them at the orphanage.
They only learned about this when Kaiba and Mokuba had bumped into them, a week after they had finally moved to Domino City. Draco's father, William Anubis went balastic when he heard the news as Seto, Mokuba, and Draco had tried to calm him down. She didn't know much more on the subject, since that was between Seto and her father. Mokuba was as much as in the dark as she was on the entire situation. It was not a good idea to bring this subject up to Seto or to Draco's father.
However during her time here in Domino City, Draco spent most of her free time with her friends, but still had more then enough time to spend it with her cousins, when they were not too busy running Kaiba Corp or when they needed some help. Draco's father would try to spend as much time possible with his two newphews, and Draco as much as possible, however due to his job. He was often gone for long periods of time.
At the moment however Draco was in her bedroom sitting at her desk, thinking about the hellish nightmare, that she had last night. Besides having a very bad feeling, while she was fixing her dueling deck, for a new duel monsters tournament. Joey had come over early to help her prepare for the tournament, besides making a few last minute adjustments to his deck as well. He was currently sitting on her bed, redoing his deck as well. Draco's thoughts then began to replay her horrifying nightmare.
{The Nightmare}
There was complete darkness everywhere, with the strong errie glow of fire burning. The three Egyptain God Cards known as Slifer, Ra, and Oblisk slowly emerged from the darkness. They were floating in the air, before they suddenly turned into stone, and fell lifelessly into the flames. Before seven glowing objects of gold, were suddenly scattered around the world. Than their was more darkness, andeven more fire that had suddenly appeared, before a unknown terrifying duel monster of unspeakable evil could could bee seen slowly emerging from flames.
This unknown creature's dark powers, and evilness seemed to be radiating from it. This terrifying power, was enough to make the blood in Draco's very vains seem to freeze, and turn into ice. While pure panic, and fear seemed to grip at her heart in a tightening grasp, making it almost impossible to breathe as the pain shot through her chest.
Then the image of a man slowly appeared in the fire. This man looked similiar too that of Pegasus in appearance, but it was very unclear if this man was Pegasus or not. The man's long white hair pulled back in a low pony-tail, there was a patch over his left eye smiling evilly at her as flames grew larger and seemed to surround her. That was when the screams and evil laughter could be heared over roar the the intense burning flames. That threatened to engulf her.
Draco shakes her head violently as she tries to forget her terrifying nightmare. A nightmare that felt like a very bad omen, of what was about too unfold upon the world. She often had bad ommens in her dreams, that had a very scary habbit of coming true. For once in her life she prayed the horrifying nightmare, was only a bad dream, and nothing more. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest from the memories of her nightmare She finaly finishes rebuilding her deck as she forced herself to smile, despite her growing fears and concerns about her nightmare.
"Now I put dis monsta card in here, like so...and voila! I'm good to go!" Joey said grinning as he finishes rebuilding his deck. He then looks at Draco as she smiles at him. "Draco, how's adjustin' your deck comin' along?"
"Okay I guess. Almost perfect." Draco said sounding like she was trying convince herself, that her deck was okay. Joey looked at her with a unsure look. He knew Draco, was a powerful duelist, and that she was technically the only person, he knew for a fact that could defeat Yugi in a duel. However most of the time, whenever they did duel, they always ended up in a draw or Yugi won. Very rarely did Draco ever defeat Yugi in a duel. It only happened like once or twice. However after the whole situation that happened at Battle City, caused Draco to practically stop dueling for a while, more like she was refusing to ever play Duel Monsters ever again or something. However Yugi, The Pharaoh, and himself besides the jerk Kaiba had finally managed to talk her into dueling again. Needless to say but Draco, was a bit rusty at the game.
"You sure about dat?" Joey asked her with a concern look.
"Not really, why?" Draco asked sighing knowing her heart really wasn't into this.
"Let the expert, the one-and-only Joey Wheeler, check your deck out, Dra." Joey said smiling at her.
"Sure thing Joey...knock yourself out." She said as she handed Joey her deck. Joey looked through her deck, and frowned as he sweat droped at the sight of her deck. "What's wrong?" She asked in annoyance as well as atiny hint of nervousness.
"Uh...It's cool to be confident about your skills, Draco. However you still have a lot of work to do on dis deck, before it's any good. If you're going to use dis deck in the tournament...let alone the Duel Exspress, that is." Joey said frowning.
"Thanks for the vote of confidence Joey. I know i'm not the greatest...when it comes to building a deck, especially when I didn't sleep so good." Draco said sighing running a hand through her hair as Joey handed her back her dueling deck.
"Hey, don't feel bad. I know for a fact you can construct an awsome deck, Draco. I've seen you build killer decks before." Joey said smiling before he frown. "Wait...why did you have problems sleeping though?"
"No idea...nervous or too excited I'm guessing." Draco said not wishing too trouble Joey or anyone about the nightmare she had or the uneasy feeling that was setting inside her heart. Last time she told her friends about her bad dream or nightmare it came true. Also she had almost killed her friends, because of Marik Istar who was mind controling her at the time. She pushed those memories off to the side, she didn't need to be reminded of that horrible event. "Anyways I better redo this. It will be real quick to do." Draco said as she quickly redid her deck as Joey watched as she quickly redisgnied her deck until it was completed. Joey smiled since he knew this deck was powerful, and very well put together, at least this time around anyways. "Finally finished." Draco said calmly.
"I'm going to totally rock with my new deck! Man, I can't wait for the tournament! It's been too long since i've dueled in a tournament." Joey said grinning in excitement. Draco, yugi and myself are so gonna own this tourney, I can't wait too show that jerk Kiaba a lesson! Also we finally managed to talk Draco, back into dueling again. His mind said as he smiled.
Draco looked at the clock and frowned. Yugi wasn't here yet, and that wasn't like him to be late. Normally he was here way before Joey, would have even showed up. "By the way Joey, shouldn't Yugi, have already been here by now?" She asked softly.
"Huh, what's wrong?" Joey asked when he was shaken out of his daydreaming. Darco sighed as she shook her head slightly.
Figures Joey wasn't paying attention as usual. Draco thought bitterly. "Hello earth to Joey, incase you have't noticed, but Yugi's not here yet." She said making Joey's eyes widen as he just remembered Yugi.
"Oh yeah! Where the heck is Yugi, anyways? Oh man, dis stinks!" Joey yelled as he saw the time on the clock. "He's late! C'mon Yugi...how can ya even think about being late on a day like this! If he doesn't get here soon, we'll miss the tournament! He was the one who promised dat the three of us were gonna take the Duel Exspress together to get to the new tournament! Man, dat Yugi! Arrrrgh! If he doesn't get here soon, he can give me all his rare cards, and I still won't forgive him!" Joey complained in frustration. Draco gave Joey a blank stare for a few seconds.
"I'm sure Yugi, will be here soon Joey. I just hope nothing bad has happened too him. Maybe he's just running a little late." Draco said softly. Now she really was praying that nothing bad was going to happen, besides praying that her dream wasn't somehow connected too this in any shape or form. She really didn't want too see that unknown duel monster ever again, something about it made her tense and become almost fearful of it.
The feeling of death, that pure evilness about it, and to feel that awful power of pure destruction that had ben radiated off that creature. It was enough too freak her out completely. The Egyptain god cards, the shadown realm, millennium items, spirits and a shadow games had freaked her out before, but the very sight of that unknown duel monster like creature was enough too scare her half to death. Before she had no problem what so ever with shadow games or the shadow realm, however everything that went down in Battle City had really messed her up big time.
Draco was pulled out of her thoughts just as her bedroom door slowly opened too reveal Yugi. Draco smiled at him but insteantly noticed something was wrong. Considering the fact that Yugi, looked ready to start crying at any second, besides the fact it appeared as though he had been crying ealier.
"Yugi, what's wrong?" Draco asked in insteant concern. Joey also looked just as concerned as she was about his friend.
"Draco, Joey, everything's horrible!" Yugi yelled startling them.
"What happened?" Draco asked in concern as she approached him at the same time Joey did. Draco hated when she saw people crying it always made her feel horrible and uneasy.
"Yeah Yug, just calm down. You can tell Draco, and me what's wrong." Joey said softly.
"My other self...the pharaoh...The millennium puzzle..." Yugi said as his watered as he looked ready to start crying again. "My puzzle is gone, the spirit of the Pharaoh inside it, along with the Egyptain god cards their gone as well!"
"WHAT!?" Draco and Joey screeched in disbelief as they looked at Yugi.
"When I woke up this morning, they were gone...I...I...What am I supposed to do?!" Yugi asked as tears were rolled down his face.
"Well we can't waste time, standin' here, and talkin'! Draco, whattaya think we should do?" Joey asked as Yugi tried to calm down and dry his eyes.
"Joey, what makes you think, that I know what to do?" Draco hissed at him with a light glare directed at him.
"Dra, you're the ony person, who is next strongest duelist other then the Pharaoh. Besides Yugi, yours truely and that jerk Kaiba." Joey pointed out. Draco sighed, her cousin could be rather stubborn, hard headed, and a royal pain in the ass to deal with at times. She already knew that.
"You can, leave it too me, Yugi. I promise we'll find your millennium puzzle, the god cards, and we'll get the Pharaoh back as well. Even though i'm kind of rusty at dueling since the whole situation that happened durring the Battle City tourrnament." Draco said softly hoping this could cheer Yugi up a bit.
"Yugi, let's go with her. Besides Draco might need our help." Joey said smiling.
"Your right...I won't stop until I find my dearest friend! I'm counting on you, Draco." Yugi said with a smile as he dried his eyes.
"You can count on me, I just hope that I don't let you guys down. Now then we should get going...I think Tea, was going too greet us before we left, for the duel exspress. We might as we inform her of what happened." Draco said softly.
"Good idea." Yugi said.
"Dat way if Tea, finds out anything she can inform us of what she finds out." Joey said grinning, as they all left too head towards the center of the city where Tea would most likely be at. Draco could only hope that this wasn't going too turn into Battle City, all over again. However deep inside her heart, she already knew that it was going to be exactly like Battle City all over again if not a hell of a lot worse.
