I thought I'd join this little challenge as well. Thanks for creating it, Ladygris. 300 on the dot by the way.
Five Days of Dare
Ladies first, it had started.
With a humorous smirk directed at her playing companion for his sudden gentlemanly side, Jennifer accepted. "Dare." Whatever he dished out she could handle, of that she was sure.
And now? Not so much. I know he's creative, but this? And what's with the time period it has to be played out in? Just more laughs for him, she guessed.
On day one, she received confused looks and a few questions she was withheld from answering thanks to the dare's parameters.
Day two proved much the same when the new shift walked in. "Aren't you…" they would ask. She always gave back a nebulous answer. "I don't know, aren't you?"
Day three came and by then she was having fun with it all. The color didn't suit her as well as her last but that was one downside she could deal with. Radek seemed happy to play along in this curious game with no questions asked.
By Day four, almost everyone was playing along. A mission was planned that day. She suited up but was stopped by John at the gate. "Whatever it is you're trying, I don't think so." One aspect failed, okay, she could deal with that too.
The last day, day five, came and people were happy to do anything she said. Jennifer supposed they liked the fact she was someone new to listen to. Not as much was being done because she didn't give them much to do, it wasn't her expertise, but at least the experiments running were completed without a hitch.
Sitting down next to her truth or dare partner, she asked, "How did I do?"
Rodney dished out the last of his blue jello and replied, "Not bad, not bad. You have a fourth of my job down."
