As the first snowflakes of winter slowly descended from the heavens, Kain looked towards the darkening sky. Reflecting back he never understood why people and vampires alike were so infatuated by Kaname. Indeed he was a pureblood and had a mysterious past, he couldn't get over the odd feeling he had every time he was around him.
When they first met as kids, he had thought Kaname to be a polite but spoilt pureblood that would get whatever he want. However after observing him for a short while he realised that despite being a child, he had something dark and consuming within him. Curiosity got the better of him and seeing Ruka becoming so attracted to him, allowed him to give in and join him.
Being by Kaname's side wasn't easy he mainly kept to himself and never really confided in anyone. Ruka had developed deep feelings for him which caused me to become slightly jealous. However I respect her feelings and even if she won't return mine, I'll be happy as long as she's happy and protect her from danger, where ever or whoever it is.
