Nathaniel McCall a 12 year old boy is a normal kid who loved spending time with his mom and little brother and lived a normal life but he never expected his life to change the way it did.
A 12 year old Nathaniel is seen running from his house at midnight because he is a werewolf now as he was turned by a wandering alpha who wanted to create some chaos. The alpha gave the bite and left him to die in the woods but by some miracle he survived and transformed into a werewolf. A week after turning into a wolf he lost control under the influence of the full moon and killed a man. When he woke up the next day and saw the body next to him and blood all over him he freaked out and ran away. So now he is the middle of the woods lost and trying to find a way out from this town as he did not want to hurt his mother or brother.
He kept walking until he heard crying and smelled blood. He kept walking in the direction of the crying and sees a girl around his age leaning on a tree and crying. He can see cuts on her arms and face so he takes off his jacket and reaches out to her and the girl looks up at him with terrified eyes and moves away from him. "It's okay I'm not gonna hurt you I just wanna help" Nathaniel says. She still doesn't trust him as she moves away from him. He looks closer and sees that her eyes are glowing yellow so he made his eyes glow electric blue. "You're a werewolf?" she questions and Nathaniel just nods and was shocked when the girl just throws herself onto him and hugs him hard and starts crying. Nathaniel puts his jacket around her smaller frame and notices that she has passed out from exhaustion so he picks her up bridal style and starts walking.
After walking some time he notices a cave and stops there to rest and places her safely on the ground and went out to prepare a fire and by the time he comes back he notices that the girl is beginning to stir so he went near to her to help her." Hey are you alright. Is everything okay?" He questions as he noticed that the girl is starting to tear up "My family…..My entire family is d-d-dead" she whispers out pulling her knees close to her chest and curling into a ball. Not knowing what to do or how to comfort her Nathaniel went close to her and hugged her and she buries her face into his chest and holds onto him like a life line. "Can you tell me what happened?" Nathaniel whispers in her ears. She nods and tells him what happened and the wolf inside him is beginning to feel the rage and threatening to break out.
"My name is Cora, by the way Cora Hale" she tells him and wipes away her tears. He looks at her smiles and says "I'm Nathaniel McCall". "Listen I am on the run and you can join me if you don't have any problem" he tells her. She thinks about it for a while and nods "Why are you running away?" She questions. "It's a long story and I will share it with you after we are well rested" he tells her and she agrees to it as the exhaustion finally hits them both and puts them to sleep.
"I was turned into a werewolf days prior by some person and on the last full moon I killed a person and I don't want to harm my family so I'm running away" Nathaniel informs the next morning after they woke up. She then gets up and hugs him "It's okay, you weren't in control and I can teach you control "Cora says to him. "So where are we gonna go now?" Nathaniel enquires. "My mom knows an alpha who is a friend. We can go there and ask for sanctuary and they will take us into their pack" Cora informs him.
"So where is this pack located" Nathaniel asks her. "Somewhere around the forests on America and don't worry we will be accepted into their pack". Cora assures him and they start their journey
