This is just the part one of the proloq. I hope you all enjoy it and I will say that Malum will not be pure evil, more like chaotic neutral.

Inside her place in the undersea kingdom of Atlantis Bai Tza being angry would be the understatement of the century. First, her places were attacked by a small group of rebellious humans. They rushed in and no only ransacked a small portion of my city but managed to enter the palace and kill my two favorite court mages. Yilien and Tempa were two humans who I generally enjoyed the company of in fact they would often play games such as chess or other games from all around the world. She even enacted their marriage ceremony and was there for the birth of their first and only son.

"Pay, they will pay for thisss" seethed Bai Tza as sat on her large golden throne adorned with a variety of blue gems matching the color scheme of the room.

"My Queen," Said one of her female human servants dressed in blue ceremonial robes as they entered the room cradling something small covered in a sea blue quilt.

"WHAT IS IT!?" She yelled still grieving the loss of her favorite humans while giving the woman an angry glare as her red eyes grew brighter. This terrified the poor woman who nervously rased what is in her arms

"What do you want me to do with their son?" asked the servant. This caused a quick change in Bai Tza's demeanor. She suddenly slithered off her throne and reached for the child.

"I will take him." She said as she ripped the child from the arms of her servant before looking at the face of the youngling in her grasps. She couldn't help but give a slight smile.

'He looks so much like them thought Bai Tza.' She couldn't help but to twirl his long black hair around her right talon. She then used that same talon to gently caress his pale skin that he inherited from her dare she say dearest friends. One of the two things she felt most fascinated her about the child is his eyes. One of them is the dark brown of his father while the other is blue much like his mothers.

Then there was his natural chi which seems to be immensely power as if he was the addition of both his parents and multiplied. He will one day be a powerful sorcerer but will he practice eastern or western magic or both like his parents she pondered.

One thing she did know is that there was no way she was going to give him up. She suddenly felt something alien to her which she could not people place the sensation for a moment. Then it suddenly hit her as she realized that she was still caressing the youngling. 'I have maternal instincts' she pondered to herself.'

Bai Tza slithered back to her throne cradling the child. "I think I will take you as my own Malum," She said to her new son while thinking how prince Malum has a nice ring to it.

It was upon her request a room be prepared for Malum next to her own bedchamber. The room was large with blue walls and a cradle fit for a royal child.

"Good night my child," said Bai Tza as she kissed his forehead of the sleeping child.
