A promise kept
When you left me I made a promise
I made a promise to live my life
To be the new person I have become
Well I did
I lived life to what I wanted
I did everything you promised me
That we would do together
But alone
I did everything we promised
Together
Without you
I rode a horse on the beach
through the waves
I drank cheep beer
I broke away from my old life
But all without you
Not a day goes by
That I don't think of you
But I kept my promise
I found a man
Got married
Had kids
I am very old now
And I still miss you
And remember
Every moment
We had together
Soon we will reunite
And I will tell you everything
And I'll tell you
I kept your promise
A/N I wrote this at about 10:30 at night. I was reading poetry most of the day, and I was thinking about writing this when i was reading some. I hope you like it.
