A/N: Okay, so I have asked people about this before, but no one really answered me so I am doing this anyway.
This is going to be a collection of side-stories to my fanfiction "You Are Mine and I Am Yours". These stories will sometimes link into Yamaiay in some way, shape or form. Some of the chapters will actually be dropped ideas that I had for the story but decided not to post for one reason or another. When I post one of those ideas, I will notify you that it's a dropped idea and has no ties to the story.
Disclaimer: I once again don't own the characters nor the show Code Geass.

Chapter 1.2: Death of a Brother
Kallen stood with her arms crossed over her chest, trying desperately to block put the sounds of Tamaki wailing inside the rundown apartment he lived in just inside the ghettos. They had just managed to regroup after having escaped the Britannian military. They still had no idea who that mysterious man was but they had bigger problems.
Like who and how many they lost during the attack.
"Hey…how are holding up Kallen?"
The red head turned to look up at Ohgi, who had dark rings under his eyes and seemed to reek of sweat from the past forty eight hours. She quickly pushed back a sweaty lock of her own hair only to huff a tired and annoyed breath when it returned back to its proper place.
"Me? Fine. Tamaki?" Kallen turned a sky blue eye towards the door before looking back to her leader. "Manuke's death is hitting him pretty hard."
Ohgi nodded, a frown pulling at his lips and a crease forming between his eyebrows. He nodded as he pulled at the collar of his dirty yellow shirt. "Yeah, they may not have gotten along all the time but they were still brothers. He would be inhuman if he was fine with his twin dying. And, let's face it, Tamaki is probably the most human out of all of us."
There was a moment of silence that stretched out between the two, filled only by the softening cries created by Tamaki and everyone else in that room, grieving for friends and comrades that had been lost in the fight against the military.
"How many…"Kallen began only to stop. She bit her chapped lip softly before licking it and continuing. "How many did we lose?"
"Kallen-"
"Please, Ohgi…" She gave him a hard stare which reminded the large man just how old Kallen had become.
The Japanese male continued to stare deeply into Kallen's eyes before looking away. "More than we should have."
Just as she was about to demand for a clearer answer, Ohgi raised a hand; silencing her effectively. "Please…not right now."
As he walked away from her, Kallen glared at the ground bitterly. "Then when?" she whispered after him.
She wasn't a child. She wasn't Naoto's kid sister anymore. Naoto was dead. She was old enough to know that she wanted to be a part of the resistance. Now if only she could convince everyone else of that.

Comments:
If anyone remembers (though I sincerely doubt it), Manuke was part of the terrorist group that L.L. killed in Chapter 2. I don't know if anyone caught onto the fact that I wrote Manuke and Tamaki as twin brothers though I used the name Shinichiro instead of Tamaki. Oh well.
