As the tension grew in the Great Hylian Center, Hyrule's king, Harkinian arose from his seat. He straightened his royal garments and walked to the podium in front of the foreign diplomats.

"My dear brothers and sisters," addressed Harkinian. "It has come to my concern that many of your home countries have speculated about Hyrule's intentions with the triforce. We have been home to the triforce since Ganon's defeat, and we have guarded it with great care. We have no hostile intentions to use its might against any of you, but rest assured we will not contain ourselves to use it for its own protection," announced the King of Hyrule; unaware that these were the last words ever to leave his mouth. From the corner of his eye, Harkinian saw a fast moving light coming towards him and before he had the chance to react he felt a sharp object piercing through his chest. He looked down at his wound, as blood trickled down from it, soaking his garments with blood. He looked at his spectators in shock, horror embracing their faces. It was then that Harkinian's legs gave in, refusing to support him any longer and he slowly fell. Chaos filled the room with angry diplomats running to the nearest exit; fearing for their own lives. At this point the Hylian secret service was already rushing to the King's aid; with very little they could do. Harkinian's breaths became shorter and shorter as memories of his beloved daughter, Zelda rushed his head. He then found himself thinking of his dead wife knowing fine well that he will be reunited with her; with the two most important people in mind, he breathed his last and his heart stopped. The Hylian King was dead.

"DAMNIT!" yelled Cristina, of the Hylian Secret Service. "He's gone." Tears filled her green eyes. "Take him to the carriage, we're taking him back to the castle; Princess Zelda needs to be notified immediately." She ordered with her voice cracking.

The royal carriage roared towards the castle, the day grew dark and cold drops of rain began to fall from the sky; as if the world were mourning King Harkinian's death.
