I am watching X men 3 while writing this and the scene where Magneto leaves Mystique always pisses me off so that's the inspiration this. Enjoy!
Mystique's POV
As I saw the light on his back and the gun pointed at him I didn't think I just jumped.
"NO" I shouted right before I heard the gun and felt the needle. As I pulled it out of my shoulder it felt like I couldn't breathe, like my insides were being rearranged.
I couldn't stand. My skin was crawling off my bones. I opened my eyes to see black hair and my skin turning pale. I was human. My power was gone, the thing that made me special, my entire life. I looked at Eric and his eyes looked amazed and then he turned away.
"Eric" I whispered.
"I'm sorry, my dear, but you're no longer one of us." My dear, as if. The man I love just turned and walked away.
I lay on the floor of that truck for hours. I couldn't move, couldn't breathe. All I could do was think, 'He left me, He left me.' As that was going through my head my hands clenched into fists. Instead of feeling sad I grew angry. How dare he? I stood by him through everything. We were going to rule the world together. We were in love, but it was all just an act.
Finally, I stood up. As I walked out of the truck I knew I would get my revenge. He hurt me and ruined my future. I would ruin his.
A few days later
I sat in front of a government building. I promised I would never be here again until we ruled everything and the Homo sapiens were wiped out. I shook my head; I'm one of them now I couldn't think like that. Before we started the agent asked, "Mystique, why are you doing this?"
"He ruined me so I'm ruining him." And with that I smiled.
