Disclaimer: I don't own them. I just like to play with them once in a while. Lines from last scene borrowed to lead into original content.
Author's Note: My take on the end of L&O: SVU s14 e3 Acceptable Loss. This is how I wanted the last scene to end. I must admit, I never thought an episode of SVU would make me need to write CI fanfic. It felt good to dabble in these characters again after all these years. Don't forget to review.

"You have no idea," said Eames, chuckling lightly.
Olivia laughed. "Okay."
"All that time together. The two of us, it was like we were married," said Eames.

Alex nodded, almost imperceptivity, and took a sip of her drink. "No," she said, a smile pulling at the corners of her lips. "Not then."
Olivia raised her eyebrows. Alex Eames just shrugged and continued to smile.
