Hi! It's Pasta! I've wanted to post something in this fandom for a LONG time... I wrote this poem (it's free verse) for a school project, and I thought "why not just post it here?" so I hope you enjoy! It takes place during the Revolutionary War (there's not enough of those fanfics...) and it's England's perspective. I don't own any of the Hetalia characters...sadly...

That said, enjoy!

"Hey, Britain,
All I want, is my freedom!"

I took care of him
Ever since he was a little colony.
I gave him food, jobs, riches,
I watched him grow up,
Into a fine colony,
Friendly, funny, and fun-loving…
Why?
What went wrong?
Was it the taxing?

We did quarrel every once in a while,
Like the time he threw my tea,
Into the ocean,
But never in my life, would I imagine us,
Locked in battle, with his musket pointed
Straight
At
Me.

Sides were chosen,
Bonds are severed,
My beloved America…
I'm losing him,
And I am incapable
Of doing anything.
It's not fair…

That man,
Across the battle field,
Covered in my men's blood...
That's not America...
It can't be...
Where was the little colony
I grew to love so much?

The clouds above cried, like they too felt
The pain of betrayal seep through me,
Like poison.

BANG!
Guns fired,
Men fell,
This never-ending battle
Filled with bloodshed,

I wish this nightmare
Would end.

There you go! Hope it was decent... sorry for the shortness. I cried at the revolutionary war scene in hetalia... Anyways, I'm hoping to post a more humorous story of Hetalia... hopefully.
