"Miheal Keehl, get out of my HOUSE!" Honoka yelled from the doorway of her apartment, her knuckles clentched at her sides at the very site of the black-clad boy sitting on her couch. The blonde quickly turned his head, a dumbfounded look on his face, then a smirk quickly rising to his lips. He tossed his chocolate aside to greet the unwelcoming girl in the doorway.
"Aw, did I accidently break into the wrong house? Darn...I thought I had it right this time," Mello teased, obviously trying to get on her last, very tender nerve. She bit down on her lower lip with great force, letting her teeth sink into the skin.
"I said. Get. Out. NOW," She growled, pointing towards the exit, the rage inside her boiling over. Mello shrugged his shoulders, waltzing around her in a circle.
"Don't you want some company? Isn't that one girl at work? Maybe you'd like someone to talk to," Mello suggested, but this only made Honoka ever MORE furious than before. (That's ALOT.) She lifted her clentched fist and shoved it dangerously close to his face, taking her index finger and pushing it to his chest.
"You must be deaf. Let me repeat that to you once more; Get, are you still with me? Okay, Get OUT, here comes the last part, OF MY HOUSE!!!" She was now screaming, shoving and pushing him at the wall. His eyes were growing wider as she became more violent towards him, his back completely against the trim of the door. She shoved harder, the wood further denting his back.
"Hono, I was just kidding around! Let me down, come on!" He tried not to sound panicked, but he couldn't cover up the fear. She smirked tauntingly, dropping him to the hard-wood floor.
"Why don't you just LISTEN next time? Then, maybe, you might get out of my site without having a severe injury," She spat, crossing her arms and stridding to the small coffee table where his unfinished chocolate lay, the wrapper torn at the top where she bit into the bar. She stood up and brushed himself off, even though there really wasn't much to brush off.
"It's your birthday..." he mumbled, grabbing his coat and throwing it over his shoulder. Honoka immediatly looked up, grasping the treat in her hand. Her eyes were locked with his own, as a confused look spread across her face.
"...How did you know that?" She asked suspiciously, thinking this was some sort of sick joke he was playing. He shook his head and turned his back to her, facing the door, ready to leave.
"You told me, remember? You told me how you hate being alone on your birthday, but you hate having too many people around, smothering you," he said, look back at her over his shoulder. Her mouth hung open, in audiable noises of confusion escaping her lips.
"You were actually listening?" She asked in disbelief, her arms falling to her sides. He nodded, smiling, and started walking back towards her as she stood in the middle of the living room.
"Here," he held out his hand, "Happy freaking birthday," he smiled and slipped it into her hand, grabbing his chocolate at the same time and walking out the door. She felt her hand shaking, but she still looked into her palm to find a silver necklace with a locket. She opened the heart-shaped locket to find a picture of her and Mello, their backs turned towards one another, sneering into the distance. She shook her head and placed the silver around her neck. She gingerly swept her fingers across the chains and sighed.
"Yeah...happy freaking birthday,"
