Okay so here it goes. My first attempt at a PJO fanfic……… ENJOY!!!!!!
Chapter 1 Time For A Quest!
Well it started out like any regular day at Camp-Half Blood. Percy got a quest and took Annabeth (duh) and Grover (double duh) and Clarisse is beating up some poor defenseless camper.
It all happened around 3:00 in the afternoon. I was at the archery range, practicing with my magical bow Rose-Thorn. It was a present from my mother Demeter when she claimed me and I take it everywhere (just in case). The arrows heads are injected with a special poison that instantly freezes the nerves of whatever body part it hits. And when I'm done using the bow it transforms back into a purse that I can sling over my shoulder. Well I had just finished practicing when my best friend Danielle (she's a tree nymph) came up to me and said that Chiron wanted to see me.
"Okay but do you know what he wants?" I asked.
"He said something about the big house but that's about it, Sorry"
"Okay I'll talk to you later Danny, bye", I rushed down the hill to the big house and skidded to a halt at Chiron's card table. He looked depressed for some reason but I pressed on.
"Umm...Excuse me Chiron sir."
"Yes Ms. Freyder?" He replied in a distracted tone, as if he was still focused on his card game with Mr. D.
"My friend Danielle said you wanted to see me."
"Yes I have decided to send you on a quest. And therefore you need to make a visit to the Big House." I forgot everything else that was happening around me and jumped over the card table (I was always good at gymnastics) and yanked open the door of the Big House and rushed up the ladder to the attic where the old crusty oracle was waiting.
I walked in and automatically started looking at the tables packed with quest items and spoils of war that people had collected. There was the scarf Annabeth and Percy had found on there first quest. There was also a long curved dagger that had become worn out and rusty over the years. I picked it up and read the tag that was attached. "This is the dagger that was acquired when Lee defeated the empousa that were threatening Camp". I was about to observe a long hunting bow similar to mine when a raspy voice started speaking. I turned around and listened to the oracle speak.
"Way up north is your destination
A quest to save that may save the entire nation
Four shall go but only three will return
Your family's safety is your biggest concern
Be very wary and avoid the pine
Do that and you'll quest will go fine"
