Captain Malcom Reynolds raced along the frenzied streets of Druidia, trying to get to the safety of Serenity. Even as he ran, though, he knew it'd be too late.

Mal had been at a bar enjoying a nice brawl when it happened. Sprawled on his back after being tossed outside, he'd seen the ship arrive in orbit. He hadn't thought anything of it until he saw it start to transform into a giant maid, complete with an enormous vacuum.

The last thing that went through Mal's mind as he fell was, "Huh. Guess they can take the sky from me."
