The Rum Tum Tugger was playing with his friends outside the Junkyard, which was actually forbidden. Suddenly they came close to the alleys of London. He walked inside it and thought his friends would come with him, but no. He stood there alone. He was the kind that liked adventure so he walked deeper in the alley. It became darker and scarier and he had to admit that he was becoming a little scared. Then he realised that it had become night and it was so dark that he couldn't find the way back. The alleys in London are like a labyrinth. He stood there alone and then suddenly heard footsteps. He turned and saw a queen with a torch.
'Lost?' she asked. He nodded and she brought him to a small den in a black wall. Her fur looked familiar. It was scarlet, like Macavity's. She was very young, too young to live on her own. She gave him food and milk and then asked who he was. He told her he was Rum Tum Tugger, the Prince of the Jellicles. He also wanted to know who she was. She hesitated, but then said it. She was Bombalurina, The Scarlet Scorpio and sister of Macavity. He was shocked. She then told him a terrible story: 'I lived with him and his henchcats in his lair after the death of our father, Growltiger. I could fight, kill, defend and I was respected ... But then ... He became different. He became lustful ... I-I was in my room, sharping one of my daggers. He came in with a strange glint in his eyes. I asked him what he came doing ... but he didn't answered. He just came closer and closer. He grabbed my arms so I couldn't struggle and trow me on the bed ... and ...' Tugger was shocked. Bombalurina was frozen, she just stared at her hands. He sat next to her and pulled her close, trying to comfort her.
'Come with me, to the Jellicles.' he said. The next day she brought him through the labyrinth and he brought her to the Junkyard. I think you all remember that. There she found back her sisters, Demeter, Jemima and Sillabub. Who were daughters of Grizabella, like her. She was accept in the tribe and get her own den.
The years past and Tugger would Come of Age. That meant that he had to get a mate. Something he didn't wanted. He wanted to be free and was scared of love. Thought there was someone he liked. Bombalurina had become a close friend and she told me one day that she had fell in love with him. It only hurted her. She knew how he was and that he would never love her.
At the next Jellicle Ball, when Tugger Came of Age, he took the center and looked at all the queens. He was about to make a move when suddenly an evil laugh crossed the Junkyard. Everyone screamed when Macavity showed up with his henches. They shoot lightnings everywhere. The Jellicles ran to where they thought it was save. Old Deuteronomy grabbed Tugger, dragging him to their den, but he didn't wanted to. He couldn't see Bomba anywhere. He would go inside whne he was sure she was save. Suddenly a cry went through the Junkyard and after that a painful silence. In the middle lay the body of a queen. The body was still shaking a bit, but it didn't seemed for long ... It was Bomba, who had sacrificed herself to save her sisters. Tugger ran towards her and took her in his arms, begging her not to die. She said that maybe it was better so. Macavity would not attack the Junkyard and she wouldn't suffer anymore.
'Suffer?' he asked.
'You would never love me like I love you.' she said. That was the moment she closed her eyes and her body went limp. Tugger was broken. He cried in her fur, whispering that it was his fault and that he loved her.
The next me and Jelly took care of her, we knew she still had a chance. And yes, after two weeks she woke up. Tugger was overjoyed, He confessed his love for her and after two days healing, they became mates. Now they have their own kittens and live a happy life in the Junkyard.
