The Decision
Chapter 1
"Okay, Edward," Bella said, "your condition is that I need to experience life, right?"
Edward looked quizzically at Bella. Even though he couldn't read her thoughts he often tried to figure out what she was going through.
"Only one year at college is all that I need to satisfy your condition, right? One year at the college of my choice?"
Edward looked at Bella's face and smiled softly, "One year at the college of your choice is all that the condition requires."
"You will go with me, right?" Bella asked.
"Of course, I will never leave you again as long as you still want me to be there with you."
"Edward, I will always want you. I love you more than anyone else."
Edward laughed and added, "So what college would you like to fulfill my condition with?"
With a smile Bella answered, "Pensacola Christian College." Bella had put a lot of thought into her decision of a college. If she was actually honest with herself, she didn't want to go to college, but she realized that Edward was unmoving on his conditions. Even though she couldn't read his thoughts, there were a few things that she knew about Edward: number 1 – Edward loved her; number 2 – Edward would never let her go to college alone; and number 3 – Edward would never go to a proclaimed Christian college. She knew how Edward felt about souls, especially her soul.
"You want to attend Pensacola Christian College?" Edward asked, searching Bella's eyes for any sign of what she was thinking.
"Yes, I want to attend Pensacola Christian College. I've already filled out my application."
"Well, then let's get packing," Edward said, "I'll submit my application and we'll let everyone know about the decision."
Edward got to his feet and pulled Bella up. Bella's father was excited that Bella would be attending a college in Florida, which would put her closer to her mother. The Cullens were already planned the big move. Even Jacob was excited. Edward had offered to pay his, Leah's, and Seth's way for the year.
