Intro.
Hello. My name is Ava Williams. My birthday is September 13th. I am 16 years old. You guys may know me from my YouTube entries singing various country and pop hits from Artists. I'm not as popular as other artists on YouTube but all that I've ever known is about to change. More on that later.
Anyway, back to the story of my life up until now. My parents are still together and along with my mom's mom we live in Austin, Texas on a farm. I'm an only child. The farm has been in my family for 3 generations. My great grandfather worked her to run the farm, passing it down to his son, my grandfather, on his deathbed. When my grandfather died, the farm was passed down to my father. My father has told me since I was young that the farm was going to go to me when I was old enough to take it over. I would be the first female in my family to take it over.
This past year, I was a junior at North Valley High School in Austin. I am a very good student and I have achieved all A's throughout my three years at North Valley. As of now, I am first in my class to be valedictorian for my class next year when we graduate. Grades and school are very important to me. I have always taken pride in doing well for the sake of myself and my family. I am not part of the typical stereotype that comes with the kids who get good grades. I in fact have a very good social life and I am popular. Popular because I, not only get good grades, I also play volleyball in the winter and softball in the spring. I get my athleticism from my mother. She always excelled when it came to sports.
My smarts came from my dad. He was the first in my family to graduate college. He didn't get the chance to follow his career because his dad got sick right after he graduated and his younger brother wanted nothing to do with the farm because his career was very important to him.
My friends and my grandma are very important to me. I honestly don't know what I'd do without them. I know that a day will come when I'll no longer have my grandma and I can't bring myself to face that day.
Now as I was saying earlier, I have several entries posted on my YouTube channel. They've been posted collectively whenever I wanted to cover a song.
A couple of months ago, a manager from the teen pop and rock band, the Jonas Brothers contacted me through my email, which was located on my youtube page and asking me if I was interested in a summer internship with the band as they toured this upcoming summer. After talking it over with my parents, they decided it was a good idea especially if I was serious about making singing a career. They are always very supportive of me.
So, as a result of my parents granting me permission, here I am.
