Prologue
"I am alpha and omega
The beginning and the end
The first and the last"
Evacuation alarm has been set.
"This is an Emergency! This is an Emergency!"
The automated female computer voice endlessely repeats itself over the spaceship's telecom. The warning has already reached the ears of the 200 plus passengers aboard the country-sized space fleet, currently hovering in space, above a green and blue organic planet. Everyone aboard is currently hurrying, and panicing to their evacuation.
"Omega one, restarting. Alpha one geno, restructuring."
"Base code 85 million... 100 milion!"
"Its speed is overwhelming!"
the 10 pilots that run the ship, bark orders back and forth to eachother through there communication devices in the cockpit, desperate to find a way to secure safety upon the now sinking space country.
"Alpha one to rayshield center, activating escape pods."
"No! Access to escape pods denied, contamination is spreading too wildly, Captain!?"
The captain of the ship, the overseer of the space fleets current mission, stands tall with his pilot crew, as he feels flustered and out of ideas as well. He yells out to his crew,
"Cut off the cables manually, we cannot allow to be denied access to our only way out."
"But... Captain!? The cutting of the cables will allow access to every area of the ship without restriction!"
"No good captain! Nothing happened."
"Captain!? Omega one they are attacking, we can't stop them, 98 percent of our weapons have been taken over."
The captain of the ship is now breaking into sweats, panicing internally over the fate of his fleet and its 200 passengers. Keeping his cool externally, he speaks back to his pilots in a calm yet firm tone.
"Damn, so they're planning on attacking." He extends his arm to pick up his telephone reciever sitting on his desk beside him.
"Engine room, activate the emergency sealing system." Afer waiting a few seconds for a response, not getting through at all, the captain confirms everyone in the engine room is either dead, or evacuating. Hope is beginning to be lost for this space fleet. The entire interior of the ship is now flashing blood red signals in a panic, and "emergency, emergency, emergency" rings into the ears of all without end.
The captain puts down his phone reciever and is shocked to look up, as every computer screen and window of the ship has been covered black, with the blood red words endlessely repeating themselves,
"you shall be as gods you shall be as gods you shall be as gods you shall be as gods you shall be as gods you shall be as gods you shall be as gods you shall be as gods you shall be as gods you shall be as gods you shall be as gods you shall be as gods you shall be as gods"
Every set of eyes in the ship stares petrified at these endless words of prophecy, promising them their certain doom.
The captain has firmly made up his mind.
"pilots, prepare all escape pods for all civilians and passengers, regardless of contamination, I will send a dispatch after evacuation is complete. I am evacuating the ship, all of you, evacuate, NOW!"
Outside the cockpit, all 200 plus passengers are sprinting, tripping overthemselves, racing to fill the escape pods in the evacuation center, trying their best to leave no one behind.
Their efforts were in vain.
The entire space fleet itself has now officially been taken over, no longer under the captain and crews control. With a mind seemingly of its own now, the giant floating technological masterpeice, the floating country, turns all of its weapons, arms, and computers to one main and specific goal.
'The Vessell.'
Whoever, or whatever, took over the ships main computing system, clearly is not in compliance with the fleets current mission.
The captain of the ship has now accepted defeat. Heading over to his control room, which only he has access too, He goes to sit on his captains seat in front of the main control panel and steering wheel. As he sits down slowly, he pulls a circular gold locket out of his front coat pocket and opens it. Clicking it open, it contains a stopwatch, and a small cutout picture of 2 beautiful looking women. This is the captains beloved wife and daughter. Tears roll down his face as he closes the locket shut and holds it tightly in his right hand. Getting himself together, the captain boots up the control panel in front of him, the last thing in the ship he still has under his control. With one last breath, the captain initiates the self destruct module.
Before anyone on the fleet could stop to think what just happened, the entire floating country explodes from the interior, killing every last person, and thing, on it.
The sea breeze is gentle, as the sun begins to peak itself over the horizon of the deep blue ocean. A lone, clothless, tall slender women with long, dark, wavy purple hair that reaches past her toes, and drags along the sand, stands up tall in the midst of the new feiry wreckage site, on a desolate unknown beach. The wreckage, is the country-sized spacecraft that had fallen abyss, down to the organic planet they were hovering above. Her deep blue eyes glow with tears against the waking sun, as she stares off into the oceans endless horizon, hair swaying in the light morning breeze, watching, as several bright shooting stars fly off into the far, far away distance.
Part 1
The continent of Ignas, in the northern hemisphere of the world. On this, the largest continent, a war has been raging between two countries for hundreds of years. In the north of the continent lies the Kislev Empire, in the south lies the desert kingdom of Aveh. The war has gone on for so long that the people have forgotten the cause, knowing only the pointless circle of hostility and tragedy.
The chronic war obsession was soon to encounter a devastating change. This was due to the 'Ethos', an institution that preserves the world's culture, repairing tools and weapons excavated from the ruins of an ancient civilization. At once, both countries excavated these ruins, and had the 'Ethos' repair the discoveries, in order to increase their military power.
The various weapons excavated from the ruins greatly changed the form of warfare.
The outcome of the battles between the two countries was no longer determined by man-to-man combat, but by 'Gears', giant mecha fighting machines, that were obtained from deep within the ruins.
Eventually, after continuous swings in the state of the war, Kislev gained the upper hand. The major factor behind this lay in the enormous difference in the amount of resources buried within their ruins.
But suddenly a mysterious military force appeared in the continent of Ignas. Called 'Gebler', this force decided to make contact with Aveh.
With the assistance of this 'Gebler' military force, Aveh was able to recover from being hopelessly out-numbered to being back on an even standing with Kislev.
Then, taking further advantage of its newly gained momentum, Aveh started to capture one territory after another from Kislev, showing no indication of slowing down in their invasion campaign.
The remote village of Lahan, in the outskirts of the Aveh Capital, near the border with Kislev.
This is where it all begins.
