A nosy girl in a blue and white gown

Followed a rabbit into a hole down, down

She discovered a world that made no sense

And began to feel very tense

She shrank and began to cry

Then joined a caucus race to stay dry

She then came across a set of two

Chubby twins that thought they knew

Everything and liked to fight

And tell stories only if they were right

She found herself in Tulgey Wood

And began to wonder if she was lost for good

When a striped cat who liked to leave and reappear

Said things that she didn't want to hear

He claimed all his neighbors were mad

Which made her anything but glad

A hare and his friend the hatter

Invited her to share in their fun and chatter

She never drank a single drop

Although it was for tea that she did stop

The flowers sang to her a song

But kicked her out of the garden before long

They said she was ugly and must be malicious

Even though she did nothing suspicious

Then a caterpillar she did meet

He presented her with a special treat

Mushrooms with the power to grow or shrink

Made it hard for her to properly think

Lost in the wood she began to lose hope

Until the cat returned to help her cope

He sent her in the direction of the queen

Who she later learned was quite mean

The monarch shouted off with her head

And with a face colored red

Sent her to a frightening fate

But she escaped before it was too late

She awoke from her sleep

But the memories she did keep

Of a world so different and strange

It's a wonder she didn't return deranged
