Answer me: What are you so afraid of?
Why, so hard, must you try to silence God?
Answer me: What are you so afraid of
if, so firmly, you believe Him a fraud?
Why does nothing, to you, pose such a threat?
Why, so hard, must you try to silence God?
If, a complete sham, do we represent,
why, against Him, tooth and nail, you resist?
Why does nothing, to you, pose such a threat?
Such effort, to fight what does not exist:
lawsuit after lawsuit, over again...
Why, against Him, tooth and nail, you resist?
The courtroom, the classroom, where will it end?
What are you forever trying to hide?
Lawsuit after lawsuit, over again...
if, honestly, you believe we have lied,
what are you forever trying to hide?

My supporters- Thank you for encouraging me; there were times when I doubted whether I did the right thing.
My flamers- Thank you for your honesty, your tips, and (no insult or sarcasm or malice intended here) continuing to make my point. I no longer have any doubts about this poem or fears about my message or approach. Like all poetry should be, it's an expression of my own feelings. They've obviously come across very clear, so my goal has been met.
Everybody, Believers and non- I have a request. PLEASE post reviews on the reviews page, please. Look up my e-mail address and e-mail me; I'm more than happy to debate with you, if you want, and call me crazy, but I want to see feedback about my poetry skills on the reviews page. (My special thanks to all who did review my writing skills; deeply appreciate it). I know so many people are going to take this the wrong way, but don't. This is not a blog, and seeing the alert in my mailbox every day when there's no review but another rebuttal, regardless of stance, is getting old.
