A Child's Eye
head positioned awkwardly
legs poised for gymnastics
she took a look at the world
it was upside down
and backwards
how appropriate she mused
now if only they could see
see that life isn't what they see
but what a mere child sees and realizes with a disturbing calm
the child is more in tune than the adult
the adult faulters and fails to accept the basic rudimentary ideas
nothing is elaborite
all is simple
time has been told in the space of a second
everything repeats
we shall create
we shall destroy
there shall never be true peace
to make peace is to pacify
to pacify is to make war
its an oxymoron
to see through the eyes of a simple child
to stand and look between your legs
to see the world upside down
that was to see
to realize the wonders of the world
and appreciate them
before those who refused to see took all away
a stiff wind blew
the trees shook
and somewhere in the distance all became nothing
life ceased to exist as the cycle continued
breath-and death
