He stood by the side of the car, not really wanting to move, but knowing deep down that he had to. They all wanted to come with him, but this was one trip that he had to come alone. He shot a glance toward the house and could feel their eyes on him. He knew that they had been watching him since he had driven up the drive way. They had known he'd be coming for a very long time, ever since they had gotten the call. The call no body ever really wants to get in their lifetime.

Letting out a deep sigh, he picked up the bag he had brought with him, and started for the house. His footsteps heavy through the light snow on the ground. Nothing could improve his mood. Nothing could solve his broken heart. By the time he got to the bottom steps to the porch, the door was all ready open. He could hear crying and it only hurt his heart more.

He lifted his head and gazed up at them. He could see her among them. He could see how much they all loved her, how much they all missed her. He sniffled back the tears, as he gazed up at them. "Sir," he began, looking up at them. "Um . . . I'm here to bring her things."

"Come on in . . . Son," he said without a pause. He knew what he had meant to her. What they had meant to each other. He was welcome into their house without any questions asked. The door shut behind him, and the tears finally came. They were both finally home.
