The dream well nightmare would be the a better word choice. His nightmare always began the same way with Leo coming home. He'd started having it a week after Leo didn't come back. It never ended the same two days in a row but it was always similar something would come and kill Leo or they would be out fighting and Leo would get killed. Or even worse Leo would get his stuff and leave them this was worse because when he died it wasn't because he didn't care about them, didn't want them. In fact it confirmed he loved them because when he died it was because Leo was trying to save them mostly him. And Mikey would sit there cradling a dieing Leo in his arms. There was even this one time after he started with the birthday parties that the kids went rabid and beat Leo to death, yeah work was real fun that day. But they all ended with Leo gone and Mikey all alone. Tonight Leo died Mikey woke up screaming seconds later his door flew open and he was surprised because the others had long ago stomped checking in on him. He blinked up at the shadowed figure in his room Leo was back he'd forgotten. "Hey Leo what's up?" Leo look at him as if he just grown wings. "Oh not much just sleeping until I heard you scream and I almost had a heart attack on my way over here." He almost hit himself well duh Leo didn't know about the dreams well not true he did tell him about the birthday party nightmare well kinda. "Ya know Leo sarcasm doesn't suite you. Besides I already told you I have nightmares." He look kinda upset as he perched himself on the side of my bed. "Well I kinda thought you were joking, you want to talk to me about it." I looked down so he couldn't see the tears brimming in my eyes. "Not really Leo." Apparently Leo took that as a yes. "So birthday parties huh what's so scary about that." Mikey was usually never blunt but right now he couldn't help it. "Well one time the kids had beaten you to death." Leo to his credit only said oh. That was all it took though and Mikey blurted out everything. About how he'd been having the dreams and how the last one Leo died in his arms. By time Mikey was finished he was sobbing in Leo's arms begging him not to leave again. "I'm not going anywhere baby bro." With that Leo flicked the cover around them and that was how there family found them in the morning.
