Hey lovely readers! I've had this story for a while and I just found it recently. It's quite sweet, at least I think so. I know that you've head the story before in those chain letters, but I just had inspiration to write a story about it. I hope that you enjoy!!

The Three Questions

Once upon a time, there was a boy and a girl. After many years of chasing said girl, the boy finally won over her heart. But one conversation could change all of that. Our story starts on one breezy spring day. The boy, James Potter, decided to take his girlfriend, Lily Evans, on a romantic picnic by the lake.

Lily and James were really the perfect couple. Everyone knew they were meant for each other, yet this one date could have ruined it all, and ultimately ruined the world. For without their never-ending love, the world would be doomed.

James had set up a scarlet and gold picnic blanket with a variety of foods on it, (courtesy of the house elves). The date was going fantastically, until Lily asked a question during a comfortable silence.

"James, do you think that I'm pretty?"

"No," he replied. Lily looked disappointed. Then she continued on, asking yet another question.

"Do you want to be with me forever and ever?"

James, again, denied this. He did not show any emotion. Lily became more glum. She paused, and then asked a third, and final, question.

"James, if I left, would you cry?"

"No," James answered quietly. Lily immediately burst into tears. She thought that it could work out between them! But not only did her boyfriend tell her she wasn't pretty, James told her he wouldn't mind if she left and he didn't want to be with her forever. Lily got up, slapped James across the face, and stormed away in a rage of fury.

James was in shock for a bit, and then realized what he had said. He chased after her and pulled her into a hug.

"I don't think you are pretty, I think you are the most beautiful creature to walk the earth. I don't WANT to be with you forever, I NEED to. And I wouldn't cry if you left, I would die." Lily's big emerald eyes stared into James' hazel eyes, and she knew he was telling the truth.

"Oh James," Lily breathed in awe, "That was the most romantic thing I have ever heard."

James gave her a charming smile, but Lily was not done yet.

"Don't you EVER do that to me again, James Potter! You scared me half to death! I thought I was just another girl to you!"

"You could never be just another girl, you are my everything! I love you, Lily."

"I love you too James."

The two continued dating all through their 7th year of schooling, and the night after graduation, James proposed to Lily. Lily Evans became Lily Potter, the proud wife of James Potter. On July 31st, the bride and groom gave birth to a bouncing baby boy named Harry James Potter, and they all lived happily ever after…well, until October 31st, but that's a totally different story.
