Prologue
"C'mon, we're going to be late!" I laughed as I, practically, pulled Sarah out of the car.
"Relax! We're 10 minutes early!" Sarah, despite my pulling, takes her time to get out. Wearing her favorite "For the Horde" T-shirt, we walk into the movie theater.
"Yes, but YOU take forever to choose which candy you want!" I remark while paying for our tickets.
"But they have such a good selection!" Sarah pouted.
"Just get a drink and popcorn, we can get candy later." I started walking towards the concessions.
"FINE! But if I don't get candy, YOU don't get any later!" Sarah stuck out her tongue.
"Hey that's not fair!" But she just ignored me. "FINE... You can get some candy!"
"Good boy! You can get your treat when you get home!" We were almost next in line.
"What kind of treat?" I jokingly asked, as if I didn't already know.
"Your favorite." She clings onto me for a second, letting me figure out what she means, before having to let go to order her popcorn, drink, and now candy.
"There, we got our snacks." Sarah grabs her things and I grab my popcorn and drink.
"And only a minute to spare. We should hurry!" We quickly walk to the correct room and open the doors.
"Hey, what gives? There's no one here!" She looks around the empty room.
"Exactly, had we came any later, the best seats would have been taken!" I laugh choosing my favorite seat.
"Yeah I guess" She laughs with me, and takes the seat next to me.
"Isn't this a good seat?"
Sarah put her finger on my lips. "Shh... James. Stop talking." Sarah leans in for a kiss.
"Jin... Jin... Jin!"
This voice, it sounds so familiar!
"Jin! Jin!" The voice continues, and my vision blurs to a white, Sarah disappearing last. "Jin! Wake up, man!"
What happened, where did Sarah go? And who keeps calling my name? And why my gamertag?
"Jin! Wake up! You need to wake up!" The first thing I saw was a clear red sky. Wait, red sky? "Good, you're finally up!" Though he looks a little aged, that combination of black with a red jacket was unmistakable. It was Jace, the man who died to save my life. But wait, if he's dead and I see him, does that mean?
"Am I in Hell?"
Jace chuckles. "Worse. It's Hell in a videogame. You're still in Sword Art Online!"
