Loneliness Without You
Before we all day our goodbyes,
We must look each other in the eyes.
Saying the heavy words on the heart,
Turning away with tears as we part.
Daring not to look back,
Putting our things in our pack.
Leaving early the next day,
We must be going far away.
As life goes on- the years go too,
I will never forget about you.
My calls may seem slim to none,
For I grow tired when the day is done.
Before we say our goodbyes,
We must look each other in the eyes.
As I find more time- one day,
A mysterious call comes your way!
You jump with joy as the good news is told,
I'm coming to see you just like the days of old.
As I arrive in your drive way,
I get out pushing the tears of joy away.
At last I have found my lost friend.
Never forgetting you even at the end.
Unable to tell the stories that past,
Evermore wanting our time to last.
Closer and closer the end of our visits come,
Soon we depart when days of fun are done.
Before we say our goodbyes,
We must look each other in the eyes.
Saying the heavy words on the heart,
Turning away with tears as we part.
