Batman: Arkham Origins

Chapter 1: The Rotten Cities

Author's Note's: Hello, everyone and welcome to my version of the Batman Arkhamverse. There will be tweaks in the story because I many not have liked something in it or just thought it would be cool the way I'm thinking it. Also, in this series you will read many familiar elements like the games that will try to pull off. This will be a short chapter, but I still hope you like it, review it, and ENJOY!

In a prison called, Arkham City, a watchful knight looks over this rotten city on a damaged Ferris wheel in Joker's old Territory. The Dark Knight looked tired and had a 5 o'clock growing in his face. From where he stood he could see all of Arkham city and Gotham city. When he turns he always sees Wayne Tower looking right back at him. Batman began to feel a little lightheaded and he sat down on the Ferris wheel. He then remembered the night before.

As he walked out with Joker's dead body in his blissful hands, he opens the door of the theatre and walks out in the red carpet; that's when Harley saw Joker dead and began to burst into tears. Even though Joker was his enemy he pitted him dearly, all these years Joker was right they were alike, also you can say like brothers, the only problem was they fought on opposite teams. Batman walks through the crowd and puts Joker's lifeless body on the hood of a Police car. Batman then heard Commissioner Jim Gordon asking him what had happen, but Batman ignored him and after making it on the street used his grapping gun to go to the top of a nearby roof. On the roof Batman pulled his mask off and threw it to the ground.

He then just stood there, by a large tube air vent. Bruce was now feeling unequal, as though he lost a part of himself. Then suddenly, he began to cry alittle. But shortly, he became enraged and smashed the air vent with his bare hand and he grabbed his mask, put it back on and continued to try and save Arkham City. Now a day later he is hear still in Arkham. He hadn't showered in 2 days. He put arm out and called for the Batwing to come and get him. Batman had so much to do, find out what Riddler's plans were for Arkham City, discover who's been watching him, and where Harley Quinn had gone off to. But all this would have to be put on hold, because Batman really needed a break.

When Bruce made it to Wayne Manor, his mask, and Gloves were already off. Alfred came to him and said, "Welcome back home master Bruce, I've prepared everything for you, including, dinner, a warm bath, and nice clean sheets for your bed.''

Bruce then replies, "Thanks Alfred, you're the best." Then in the Batcave he walks over to a closed large door and presses 4 key buttons and the door opens. This was the room were all his suits were kept in, including his old partners too. After taking off the suit he goes up to Wayne Manor and takes a shower and while in their he remembers the night his parents died.

Alright, that to me was an excellent chapter; I personally can't wait to find out about how Bruce's life was suddenly changed in one dreadful night. 'Till Next Time!
