"What the hell? Natsume!"
I shrieked as I stomped into my brother's room. My left hand set on my lap, the other clutching the mild carton. I gawked at the sight of his posture. His body slouched against the side of the bed, head tilted back, hidden behind the book. There was a crisis and here he was reading his stupid book about people in space fighting each other. Space War, I think, what's so interesting about science-fiction anyway. I glared at his stoic eyes. If the eyes were the window to his soul then it might as well be a blank piece of paper.
"You finished all the milk Natsume!" I pointed at the culprit.
"Don't use that incisive tone on me. You'll turn into a bigger fail then you already are," he said, not bothering to look up.
"Why don't you go and buy some more. Instead of keeping your head in that space junk." I mumbled.
Nevertheless my words had reached his ears. I bit my tongue, while sucking my teeth in. He looked up, a tinge of anger crawling behind there emotionless eyes.
"Ok, fine. I'll go," I backed out of the room as I spoke. "Don't go all psycho on me now".
I walked out, just to go back in to close the door. Right before the door shut I swear I saw a smirk curling up at the corner of his lips. Jerk.
The convenient store wasn't that far so I wasn't exactly complaining. I hummed along to some song that was playing on the radio that morning. I grinned as I passed the old church at the corner of the street. As much as I wanted to efface the memory of the reception, I couldn't help but grin at the thought now. Natsume had not shown up until it was time for the best man's toast. All eyes watched as he walked up to the podium in his stained converse, a navy black shirt with big white letters saying "Who Cares". His impudent behavior at the reception had appalled all the guests leaving Mr. Hyuuga's usual flustered face to wan, from disappointment or/and embarrassment. His speech was not much better. I felt a bit of pity for him, but that left after the incident, consumed by humiliation and hate.
The rest of the reception was a mess. Luke had stood at the corner arms crossed refusing to talk to anyone, which of course wasn't any different from how he normally acted. It was transparent that he was against the wedding, seeing as he dressed as a thug to his own fathers wedding. Not to mention he didn't even show up to the actual wedding. Mr. Hyuuga and mom had to go around giving and explanation for his action. His handsome face had saved a lot of explaining. The guests thoughts it was the most original idea, "The reception was very unique. Your son's very handsome isn't he" was what everyone said. She smiled to herself, but covered it quick.
