Spoilers: Mulder's hearing in Redux II
A Deviation from the Norm
Gentlemen, I have a warning for you all
Heed these words, so that you don't stumble and fall…
Section Chief Blevins was not like us
In times of trouble, we don't panic or fuss
Mulder knows of our crimes
He's pointed them out so many times
And yet we let him rant and rave to his heart's desire
And allow to Bureau to think him a liar
But Blevins couldn't handle it when he was exposed
He broke into a sweat, and was no longer composed
At the hearing when Mulder named Blevins
He couldn't hide his guilt from the panel or the heavens
His silent confession of guilt
Endangered the project we had built
He stepped from the darkness of his shadow
And allowed his cover to blow
To his office, he ran in retreat
But that's where he and death would meet
This was the consequence for a mistake so careless
One we never fail to immediately address
Expose yourself; let everyone know you're involved
And we'll simply dispose of you, problem solved
In every way, our project breaks the law
That is why we can't afford a single flaw
Among us, Blevins took the form
Of a deviation from the norm
Gentlemen don't make the same grave mistake
