Never too late, By Krys Styvins

I hate Clarisse La Rue. I hate Clarisse La Rue. I chanted in my head.

"Nico, listen. I know what she said and it was wrong, but that's no reason to do this. Please, don't do this. I can't lose you again" I say, beginning to sob.

"No, Perce. It is. Besides, no one would miss me if I do die. They'll say "Oh, well. Heroes die all the time. The only difference was that it was a son of hades and not some minor god." He says angrily.

"I'll miss you. Annabeth'll miss you. Frank, Hazel, Leo, Jason, Piper, and even Coach Hedge will miss you. You are loved, Nico, I swear. I would tell you how much but ever since you said that you used to have a crush on me, but not anymore. Then on I always got so tongue tied when I was around you and whenever I gathered up enough courage something life threatening happens. Nico, if they don't love you, I still know one person who does." I say.

"Who?" he says in wonder.

"Me." With that, I finally gathered enough courage to say it. Those three magic words.

"I love you, Nico, and I have loved you ever since I first met you. You were and are the only person I ever got tongue tied trying to talk." I say. Knowing he'll probably hate me forever for what I'm about to do, I take a deep breath and kissed him. After a few moments I noticed he was still kissing me. I felt a tongue flick my lips and I allow him to enter. Tongues explore each other's' mouths while hands explore.

"I love you too, Perce. I love you too." He says lovingly. I sigh and lay there unmoving.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Nico." I say happily. This was the best Valentine's Day ever.
