I don't own Fablehaven, sadly. It belongs to Brandon Mull and his publishing company, I would guess. I just like thinking about all of the little things that might happen between the books, especially the ones that concern Warren. I wrote this because I was wondering if anyone ever told him that they'd all made Kendra kiss him… XD
Please review, even if only to point out ways that I could have written it better. :)
Warren and Dale were sitting at Warren's little kitchen table eating leftover pieces of the Welcome-Back-From-Your-Coma Cake that Kendra had talked the others into making once life on the preserve had calmed down once more.
"So, what do you remember?" Dale asked Warren.
"Not much," he said. "Just being scared and then nothing… except that I remember seeing Kendra at the very end."
Dale couldn't suppress a quick snort of laughter at that. "Yeah, I'll bet," he muttered.
Warren looked confused. "What do you mean?"
Dale laughed again. "No way; I've been sworn to secrecy."
"What? But I'm your brother! You can't keep secrets from me!"
Dale considered for a moment and then rolled his eyes. "I was just thinking that you should remember Kendra, considering that we made her kiss you."
Warren's eyes went wide. "What?!"
Dale shrugged. "You reacted the best to her. We thought, you know, fairy kisses…"
"But she's our cousin! And she's half my age!" Warren looked stunned.
Dale laughed. "See
why I was sworn to secrecy?"
Warren shook his head. "It's a
good thing that I'm back; the whole lot of you are crazy."
