I Love You Rosie
Kitty wandered around the school, trying to wait for it to clear. She had asked Marley to meet with her before she left with her mom, and she reluctantly said yes. Now she was walking towards the auditorium, making sure that no one was still there. While she wasn't ashamed of being seen with Marley, as she used to make the girl think, she just wasn't ready to be outed at all. Coming to the doors, she saw her pacing on the stage, looking nervous and anxious. Taking a deep breath, she opened the door and walked in, drawing Marley's attention to her.
Walking down, she could feel Marley's eyes on her, even though she herself was staring down at the floor. Reaching the steps, she finally looked up, straight into expressive bright blue eyes. She could see every emotion that Marley was feeling, and really hoped that she'd be able to win her love and trust back. "Hi," she said, climbing the steps. Marley gave a shy smile back, not trusting her own voice.
"Please don't say anything yet," Kitty started. "I want to get this all out, and then you can say whatever you want, okay?" Getting a tentative nod, she started.
"I'm so sorry for everything I've done to you. I know I said that before, but I need to say it again. When we first got together, I was so happy, and even though I didn't show it much, I did, and still do, love you. I was just so afraid of being found out, that I started taking you for granted and hiding you even more than we already were. It's not an excuse for blowing you off all the time, or making you feel unloved and unwanted, but it's the only explanation I have.
"I know you said you needed your space and time from me, but I just needed to tell you that I will do anything to get you back. I love you so much Marley Rose, and I'll never forgive myself for the way I treated you, because it was wrong and selfish of me. And if you don't want to get back together, I still want to be your friend, if you want."
During her speech, she had gotten closer, and now she was within arm's reach. Slowly taking Marley's hand, she kissed the back of it, a sniffle being heard from Marley. Looking deep into her eyes, she whispered "You are the best thing that ever happened to me Rosie, and I am so sorry that I ever made you feel like you weren't."
Kissing the tip of Marley's nose, she turned to leave, thinking that the girl would need her space. Before she could get too far, a tug on her wrist pulled her back. Turning, she had no time to prepare as soft full lips connected to hers, and slim, dainty hands coming up to her face. Immediately, she wrapped her arms around a too thin waist, pulling the taller girl close. She could feel the love through the kiss, and she gave it back to her, plus more. As they kissed, she could feel her face getting wet with tears, though she wasn't sure who from.
Pulling away, she saw that it was Marley crying, but wiping her face told her that she was as well. Not caring, she buried her face in Marley's neck, whispering 'I'm sorry' and promises to be better in her ear. When she heard 'it's okay', she broke down sobbing, practically clinging on for her life. As Marley comforted her, she knew that everything would be fine. It may not happen immediately, but over time they would e stronger than ever.
